It's too slow for my taste. There's definitely some supernatural element taking place though as we saw with the measuring tape. I think they will only meet in episode 10.

Well he's going to die if he interacts with her at this time like that guy on the train. I guess this slow-burn will continue until he figures out the trick to not dying. It's really a supernatural thriller right now.

No I don’t think so, if that’s so then entire village should be sick or injured
But the mom was the one who pushed her away mainly. And if you recall, her dad died over a long span of time due to "gum disease". Now the ML's mom died from what I presume is cancer after a long span of time as well. It definitely feels like she had a part of play in the deaths of both parents.
