i wish next year, chen zheyuan life full of happiness, waiting for his project to air. chen zheyuan fighting!
My wish for him is the same as yours. All the best to CZY in 2026. I pray for a full and swift recovery from his second surgery. For the next year and beyond, I hope to see a healthier (I heard he only weighs about 55 kg now; for a 5'11" lad, he is underweight š¢) and happier version of himself. I want to see him in more mukbang live vids in the future. It makes me very happy that he isn't starving himself on purpose. And please, no more injuries or accidents in the future. š
Yes, please! But I'm hoping he'll be with a female lead with an unproblematic fan base. š¤
I think you can always find toxic fans everywhere, but C-ent and K-ent (K-pop idols) fans are the worst. When casting rumors for a Korean drama are announced, I rarely see toxic fan wars. Unlike Cdrama, the Kdrama industry does not have the very divisive billing order practice. I like how they can experiment with pairing famous KDrama stars with similarly famous artists, as well as up-and-coming artists, without having to worry about who will be top-billed. Some fandoms (especially in C-ent) are simply overly concerned about their favorites or other actors outperforming their favorites.
I understand that there's no fandom without toxicity, but what irritates me the most is when the fandoms of two artists working as a CP for a drama engage in fan wars instead of working together to promote the show. I just don't understand why people would go out of their way to be so nasty and derogatory about an actor or performer's coworkers! It astounds me.
I feel sad for CZY and other actors and actresses who have become victims of these toxic fan wars. I really wish this fanwar culture would just STOP, but I know that's impossible.
Chen zhe yuan is excellent in both modern and historical drama. Waiting for his next drama comes out next year.
Right šÆ! Very few actors excel at both. I hope he will choose a modern drama for his next project. I don't mind if it's a melodrama, romance, or thriller.
I know I'm in the minority, but I don't really enjoy the Xianxia and Xuanhuan genres. š Perhaps Yuan can convince me to reconsider. He has never, I believe, played an assassin before. It would be amazing to see him in that role in the future.
He was highly praised for his exceptional line delivery in Fated Hearts. I know the process of dubbing his voice…
He's a very hard worker. I'm hoping he'll get paid separately for the dubbing. I'm not sure if Chinese dramas hire dialect coaches, but I've read that Hollywood does. Christian Bale, Idris Elba, Kate Winslet, and many other British actors are excellent at speaking with an American accent. Btw, do they also dub modern Chinese dramas?
He will be attending the China Film Gala on December 18 in Chengdu, though Iām not exactly sure what the event…
He was highly praised for his exceptional line delivery in Fated Hearts. I know the process of dubbing his voice is extremely hard for him, especially now that he's recuperating from his second surgery (and I know he hated it too, as per his recent interview when he was in Malaysia š ), but I hope CZY will agree to do it again in Chasing Dreams and JSWP. It is one of the many reasons why I enjoyed Fated Hearts.
Itās better to wait for the official announcement, for CZYās sake. There are so many drama rumors on Weibo…
I appreciate you always taking the time to respond to my questions. Thank you so much!
It's genuinely bittersweet for me to be a fan of CZY. I am a sensitive person, and I get hurt easily when his haters slander him. However, his videos on Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok always make me feel better. š
People ranking based on looks and hotness and young age, not talent. A lot of teenagers in here voting. If it…
Comparing CZY to HG, JS, and NGMāall of whom are well-known actors in their own rightāis incredibly unfair. These actors were in the business long before CZY had his breakout role.
You can send virtual flowers to ZRY and ZWY if you believe they deserve it because they are good actors. You don't need to bring CZY up to compete with your favorite actors.
Dobi working his magic Light work with a few breaks in between i like this schedule enough visibility of Yuan…
Yes, I am aware of the entire billing controversy. Antis always brings that up to disparage him. Visuals are subjective. When I first saw Yuan in an article about Hidden Love, I thought he was cute, but I wasn't particularly drawn to him until I saw that he was a versatile actor. "Smitten" was actually an understatement to describe how I perceive him now after seeing him in Fated Hearts, Hidden Love, and The White Olive Tree (in that order) over the course of a month. YuanĀ isĀ ableĀ toĀ fullyĀ inhabitĀ theĀ roleĀ heĀ plays, making him one of the best (if not the best) actors among his peers.

That was so unfortunate for Yuan. I am pleased that his new manager appears to be doing a great job this time, most especially now that he has not fully recovered from his second operation. He must have had a high tolerance for pain because I can't imagine how he endured the pain while filming Chasing Dreams at that time.
I've seen a lot of derogatory remarks about him on various social media platforms, especially Reddit, where hatemongers swarmed to denigrate and attack him. I try to stay away from this site as much as possible because I'm not the kind to participate in fanfights and disparage other artists because I want my favorite to be the greatest. It is detrimental to my emotional well-being and quite taxing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am a new fan of CZY, so I am not really familiar with the people around him. I sincerely hope he is surrounded by good people who know how to value his talent without overworking him.

I totally agree with you. EvenĀ thoughĀ IĀ wouldĀ likeĀ toĀ seeĀ himĀ inĀ publicĀ frequently,Ā IĀ believeĀ hisĀ agencyĀ shouldĀ allowĀ himĀ adequateĀ timeĀ toĀ recuperateĀ afterĀ theĀ surgery. His December schedule is already packed, and I am worried he will not have enough time to rest and heal from his operation. Next year, I hope to see a very happy and healthy Yuan.

May I know if Yuan has a lot of antis in China?
I would love to visit his Weibo account, but I can't read and understand Chinese.
