I get this and I understand it, but at the same time she’s never done anything, said anything, etc. to make him uncomfortable. To him in the moment I can see how it would all seem calculated but I think everything she’s done for him thus far should outweigh any hostility he feels—if he just gives her a chance to explain. Also what’s so damn bad about being his fan? She’s supported his career, so what? She’s clearly shown she can separate her professional persona from her fangirl persona. She has the jawline and the charisma for that type of role in my opinion. Like she looked so fineeee when they switched and the prince went to raid the mountain in her body.

Literally every character sucks ass in this show minus my girl, Xu Yan. Even her older sister, Qiao Lin, who I thought was kinda ok is pissing me off. Xu Yan has to clean up all her messes, she’s irresponsible, immature, selfish and just plain annoying.
Also I wish her “dad” would just fuck off already he goes on and on about “We’re not longer family! We’re no longer father and daughter!” Yet there his ass is butting into everything that isn’t his gd business. Ugh.

I want to see Xu Yan break free so bad. ZL does a great job t portraying how her character is merely going through the motions of life, but not actually living. She so focused on reach whatever goal she’s set for herself, that’s she’s so closed up and cold.
