I don't know what it is about this c-drama that seems so unlike any other drama that I've watched. the family drama and the mystery of Qiao Being Yu's death feels so insidious-- its the only word I can use to describe it. Like, I really thought that this drama would be like all the others that I've watched in that the family drama would just feel ridiculous and annoying, but every episode has been so thrilling and full of intrigue. It almost feels like I'm watching a horror movie, I don't like or trust anyone besides the two main characters; Ming Sheng and Qiao Qing Yu.
On another note they really need to start physically publishing Chinese Light Novels in English more, I'm about to read this online but damn I wish I had a copy because if the drama is a reflection of the writing in novel, I'm going to absolutely love it.
Need season 2 ASAP omg so many storylines that need continuing 😭🙏that last episode had me bawling the whole time, it was 20mins longer than the other episodes and it was still too short 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Does anyone have any book recs like this kdrama? I’m loving the friendship, budding romance and hospital setting—it’s so good! Two episodes a week is not enough 😭
Why am I kinda hoping that O Su A is also an undercover agent?
My evidence so far:
1. What’s up with the name change? (it’s so obvious she was O Bong Ja before)
2. Her flipping the politician dude like it was nothing.
3. Her being the only one suspicious of Hae Song (minus the villain lady)
4. She’s quick to notice things are weird about Hae Song (the entire scene where she goes to his house to give him soup and the other NIS agents pop out of the closet)
5. The NIS director dude being shocked at the school directory —could it be bc he saw O Su A and he recognized her? (Maybe she’s from a different department)
6. Maybe she’s just cosplaying as the clumsy, quirky young teacher? Like she acts oblivious on purpose (e.g. the bullying)
She’s probably not a secret agent—but damn I’m kinda hoping we get an undercover agent couple with her and Hae Song 😭 it would be so cool
