I know it's a big thing to have your power couple matching each other wit for wit, but I'm really liking that…
I love this and totally agree. I think EP 5 was good at showing their different strengths. He is good at reading people's faces and body languages and suss out lies. Also good at attack against direct opponents. But he is not a schemer and she was ahead of him because whether he knew she was lying or not, this was irrelevant - her target was elsewhere, something he hadn't considered. It's easy to see why as smart and noble he was, he was so manipulated during the first life by others. In the second one hopefully he finds an ally in her who can cover this weakness.
If this was a book I am flipping through the pages like mad. What is this pace? So much is happening and 40 min goes by so fast! This is a 40 episode show but every episode is so intense so far. I'm absolutely hooked and the leads are doing a fantastic job.
About to start ep 2, but could someone please explain the politics in the story? So the Emperor is ill, and Song…
Song Mo and Prince Qing (not shown yet) rebelled against the emperor and the crown prince as part of his revenge. The capital is in turmoil because of this. Dou Zhao's husband is an official (implied as allied with Prince Qing) but doesn't openly pick a side and so that's why there was that whole show of my wife is dying so I can't see any guests thing, to prevent meeting people who might be politically dangerous or offend the wrong people. Song Mo wanted to meet the Emperor-to-be Prince Qing at the end to get the truth but was betrayed by him.
I had 0 expectations. This has a shockingly good start (watching on IQ so they are only up to Ep 4) Pacing is…
One of the first things I liked about it is that when she had the chance, she became RICH! Like if you know what will happen, of course you'd use it to make money and become independent rather than not choose (or choose) the right guy to marry. I also liked that hostage scene was reverse UNO on the captors. Small things like that are keeping this enjoyable.
I had 0 expectations. This has a shockingly good start (watching on IQ so they are only up to Ep 4) Pacing is good, no draggy moments, fight scenes are good, directing is great, characters are likable. I like the FL a lot, haven't seen much of the ML but I was excited to see the monk guy (Sikong Changfeng! 😊). I'm actually looking forward to the next set of episodes!
Not sure where to go but not ready for angsty shows after that sweet ending so I'll have to hold off on the recent sad ones for now. I'll just revisit some familiar ones. It has been a fun journey MDL LGIEF commenters. 🙂
I actually like this ending. You know in every time travel dramas we have this kind of issues.Because she/he eventually…
I agree, I think a little scenes of them getting to know each other would have been nice in the credit scene. Like talking, hanging out, getting their picture drawn in a fair, etc. to show that they are starting their own story again in the real world.
What a sweet ending and a proper hero's journey. The message about 100% was right on and that everyone is a protagonist in their own story. It was a very warm fuzzies ending and I think the team did a great job.
Also the ML could wear a burlap sack and he'd still be so good looking. It's criminal.
Sometimes I wonder whether the production team didn't expect this drama to be as popular as it is now. From the…
No I completely agree this was probably an unexpected hit, at least the extent it is now. This caught my eye because I love games and the concept seemed fun. But it seemed there was little to no fanfare when it was announced and released. Maybe they didn't expect it do as well since the timing of the release also had such strong competitions. I'm glad for the team but this definitely seems like they're catching up on the promos now.
I'm always nagging about how there's no kiss scene for the leads. Tbh, it's NOT really as much the lack of kiss…
Yes I agree with this and I'm not even watching this strictly for the romance. Honestly it just needed one good one and then move on to the end of the world stuff from there. During their budding relationship it is shown that both of their deepest desires was a makeout session and despite ZQ's desire to never love in life, it turned out that this wasn't his decision to make since as soon as she was lost to him, he kind of went insane. Considering the personalities of LMM and ZQ I think at 99% you'd expect some more intensity when they are finally together.
"You must remember, life is but a fleeting dream. You and him only one can wake up" WHATS GOING ON I NEED EXPLANATIONS…
As beautiful the world is in the game, this is still not her world and she does need to wake up. I think the author was System trying to get her to remember this important information and prepare for an important decision at the end. All good things must come to an end and I think it will have to be bittersweet, but hopefully more sweet since she will meet her "Ziqi" in her world (I hope).
I can't believe even a random asthmatic merchant is so ridiculously good looking in this show. Ep 27 definitely moved things along and it is getting so interesting! Also....only 24 seconds teaser for Ep29? Haha they really don't want to give anything away.
It looks like we're setting up the final side quests for the end battle and the episodes are a bit dry with exposition and building background. I believe less grace is given for shows that are still ongoing because every episode is scrutinized to death each week and not every episode will be a banger. I recently started on LBFAD because it is so highly acclaimed and I don't think every episode is a gem there but it is nonetheless highly rated overall. I kind of do agree that considering ZQ's personality (slightly deranged, hot headed, was like ready to murder people several time) the romance between them seems very muted. But I will be sad when it all ends next week.
With MuYao now realizing and accepting the truth this early on, there is nothing remaining of the OG storyline ending so the the big conflict is something else. System panda is now busy doing a last minute re-write. Is the final requirement still defeating the Resentful Woman, which would make her the evil world destroying demon. Seeing Mu Qingshi was cool, as brief as it was.
No filler episodes perfectly well presented and well cooked drama..But there is one minus point......it's freaking…
yeah at this rate I have a feeling the show is going to press the plot speed pedal hard to wrap up and had need to cut some of the slice of life/explanation parts out. If it ends with a glancing shot in the modern world in the last 5 seconds of episode 32 I riot.
I'm pretty sure we're done with the capital arc and I was certain the Marquis knew his attacker was a half-demon despite how LMM was saying he was drunk but he kept quiet for LMM's sake and now he knows his dad hung out at Qilin Mt so he can put two and two together that this was his half brother especially with the Dowager Consort's confession. My theory regarding MuYao's dad is that he helped the Dowager Consort to test run this ritual and wanted to use it on ZQ when he was old enough to steal his core to reach the highest heavenly level since you need a level 9 demon core. He probably thought it was for the greater good or something but it is of course vile and the Resentful Woman probably killed he and his entire family because of this. I am almost positive ZQ has put some kind of curse on LMM now, maybe the same WorryFree Curse that everyone keeps mentioning that is making her forget her real world. ZQ looks guilty as hell every time LMM says she can't remember.
I'm slightly worried about the remaining 10 episodes as there seems to be a lot left to unpack. We still have…
I'm a little worried too. Was the production forced to cut to 32 ep or rush it out sooner? I hope that was not the case since this seems to have critical popularity and a rushed ending would suck...
It is apparent to me that ZQ is worried. He looked worried when he looked at sleeping LMM and again when she told him about the dream. I think he knows the end is nearing somehow and I think the number is currently fudged because it sounds like she's already at 100 and the system is bugging out. As avid gamers know, generally when you get the "ultimate power" like LMM did and the "ultimate weapon" it's time for the Final Boss fight and the person who has the world saving power usually sacrifices/disappears so the person doesn't stay powerful in the epilogue. Like the swing set ZQ knew of, he either gets her dreams too or he knows much more about the world than letting on. Considering ZQ's gray morals and possessive nature I think he's tampered with her memory to forget "system" and it's glitching.
