Don't forget there was a time skip in this season, too. Jun-wan's friends know he broke up with his girlfriend and is going through a tough time. Maybe they know he is the type of person who prefers to sulk and not go into the details, and so they are there to provide the food and distraction and wants.
Personally, when I've gone through bad break-ups in the past, I've always preferred to hang out with people who aren't my close friends because they provide a better distraction and new memories and experiences; I'm more likely to sit around and wallow in self-pity when I'm with my close friends, who also likely have memories with my ex tied to them.
"And in HP here we have Jun Wan, 2/3 of S2 gone and he hasn't admitted to anyone who his gf was... "
Their close friends know about the relationship. It kind of makes sense to keep an "office" romance under wraps until they are engage, especially since he is her superior/professor. Even if it isn't against the rules, she'd likely deal with gossip and potential accusations of favoritism and nepotism.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but I have close friendships that have spanned over a decade, and I do not confide to them everything troubling me. My friends are very caring and supportive, but I know from years of being a part of this group that their style of caring and support does not always meet my needs/wants because of how I prefer to process and face challenges.
"Also the only reason why Jun Wan confided somewhat to Jae Hak about his relationship worries with Ik Sun was out of desperation because it was a secret that had to be kept from Ik Jun...and he ended up getting very bad advice LOL."
Actually, he went to Jae Hak for advice because Jae Hak was happily married and also in a long-distance relationship with his wife, and Jae Hak's advice for Jun Wan to ask what his girlfriend what she wanted--not for Jun Wan to send the rings willy-nilly without asking her--was the best advice to give in that situation. Textbook communication. Jun Wan called her to ask her if it was ok for him to send the rings, and she not only said yes, she confirmed he had the correct address, and then sounded disappointed when they didn't arrive. If she still didn't want the rings at that point, that's on her for lying, but Jae-Hak's advice was solid.

I don't find this dynamic abnormal, especially within adult friendship groups. Some people share everything with their best friends, while others find it easier to share what's bothering them with people that they aren't close to (e.g. Jun-wan going to his resident for relationship advice) or with therapists. Additionally, in a group a friends, such as the one depicted in this show, individuals still tend to feel closer to other specific individuals within the group, or they know their friends so well that they know who is best to go to for advice/comfort in particular situations.
I really liked ep 8 compared to ep 7. 1. see mama rosa's reaction to gyeoul. 2. How a similar scene in Wintergarden…
They might end up staying at her family's inn in a later episode. They are planning the trip for sometime in May, so when the trip happens it's possible they could end up staying there. I really hope it happens. I really want to meet Minha's family.
Doctor Kim was brought in to emphasize one of episode seven's messages: That put in the right circumstances, even…
I'm not sure which doctor you're referring to then because Dr. Kim was the woman who was hysterical over her child. Do you have a specific scene or characters that interacted with the doctor you're referring to? The only insensitive doctor I think they referred to was the other male cardiothoracic surgeon who has been around since season one.
anyone notice that "new" doctor in ep7? I think it's Kim Hi Eo Ra? but I hope a new addition to the cast has actual…
Doctor Kim was brought in to emphasize one of episode seven's messages: That put in the right circumstances, even a doctor will lose their mind if they become the patient or guardian. They said she works at a different hospital and just had her second kid (her oldest one was the one she went ballistic over in the ER). So no, she will not be a love interest for Jun-wan, and you will likely not see her again.
they will be fine i think. maybe in episode 8 they will have a deeper talk considering jeongwon's mom isn't in…
I feel fairly confident that they will be fine, too. I just don't want them to drag it out and have it take until the end of episode 8 for it to be resolved when the issue with Rosa is also looming over the next episode. I need them to kiss and make up quickly before I face the potentially devastating plot arc that is Rosa's (likely) brain tumor.
I think the pills that he's taking are making him violent and kinda unconscious. Remember in a previous episode…
She can't really blackmail him if he is in jail, though. I guess she's powerful enough that she could hire someone to dispose of the body for him and hold that over his head as blackmail, but that seems like an unnecessarily convoluted plan to keep someone in check.
Prob with this drama in terms of the personal character progression there isnt any cept for Jeongwon and maybe…
To be fair to season two, there wasn't a lot of character progression in season one either. It just felt like there was more because we were getting to know the characters and their personalities. By season two, though, we know who they are, so there is the slight expectation that there will be more external events to mark progress and change. But this is slice-of-life, and in the real world, most people's lives don't change dramatically over the course of a year.
Omg is season 3 are already confirmed by the director?
Season 3 isn't confirmed yet, as far as I know, but the original plan for this drama when the director proposed it to the lead actors was for it to be three seasons.

I thought that, too, initially, but he hasn't performed the surgery yet, right? It wouldn't benefit her if he is arrested or under suspicion of murder because then her plan to kill her husband falls through, and if he has already killed her husband on the operating table, she wouldn't want the police investigating him for murder because they might take a closer look at her husband's death. Additionally, if he's questioned by police, she runs the risk of him telling the police about her involvement in her husband's death. No, she'd either want him dead or alive where she can keep an eye on him.
Oooo! Good point. Also, the doctor also said that her mother was "hurt" and had to go into emergency surgery.…
Yeah, the text bothered me a lot, too, until I was reminded of the speculation that her mother might be abused by her father. If that turns out to be what happened, her text makes sense. She probably isn't in the appropriate headspace to tell him the full truth about her family--especially if her dad is now going to jail for abusing her mom-- and telling him a partial truth, that her mother was injured and undergoing surgery, would prompt him to want to be with her.
i think the girl who is daughter of her mom's friends will either be a love rival for songhwa as she will start…
The friend's daughter joined cardiology, so I was thinking/hoping maybe she would be someone for Jun-wan to notice since cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery work closely together. haha.
Alzheimer's or a brain tumor. Preview makes it sound like she spoke with Song-Hwa about her condition, and you…
Actually, it sounds like it will more likely be a brain tumor. In addition to memory loss, Jong Su commented on the way she was walking this episode, which suggests something might be wrong with her motor skills. Those two things, plus the fact that the preview hints that she has a doctor's visit with Song-hwa indicate a tumor. You don't see a neurosurgeon for Alzheimer's.
Ugh, I was hoping Seok Hyung's mother's "except her" was about his ex-wife... now even if he likes her, it will…
Nah, he's perfectly aware that his mom is going to hate anyone he brings home, so her hating Min-ah now is no different than her hating Min-ah later. haha
it will be ,i mean garden is an understanding person so I think he will understand.
I initially forgot about the potential domestic abuse, but yes, now that I've remembered it makes more sense why she would want to wait to communicate that to him.
Off all struggles why it has to be failed proposal plan? it hurts 🥲 and poor them with their sick mothers.…
Oooo! Good point. Also, the doctor also said that her mother was "hurt" and had to go into emergency surgery. While it cold have been a traffic accident, she also could have sustained an injury from being abused by her husband. It could explain why the doctor didn't contact her husband and why Geyeoul's text to Jung-won was vague--not "my mom is undergoing emergency surgery"-- and what she means by planning to explain "everything" to him.
