Title Shine on Me
I love how XG shines when she is with her work friends. She really looks miserable whenever she is with her college…
Plus, her work friends were super supportive when they found out she was rich! Sure, they made some good natured jokes about her now paying for things so they can live vicariously through her wealth (and fairy tale romance), but there was no resentment or insecurities.

ep 30 - taxi driver listening to his argument must have been traumatised 🤣
Glad I'm not the only one thinking about how that taxi driver got a free show! You know he went home to his wife and spilled all the tea. 🤣

Did I miss something? I only saw him give her something once, and she also gave him something once. When was he…
I said it was "unintentionally" -- emphasis on the unintentionally -- predatory when you combine his gift giving/spending with her awkward, borderline skittish behavior. Gift giving is not bad and is a valid method for people show affection, but because she never seemed at his level of maturity and was always stiff when accepting his physical affection (even after they'd supposedly had sex), the age difference felt more significant, like he was a sugar daddy (buying her meals, paying for hotel room(s) and transportation when she didn't need it or could afford it on her own, etc) who was pursuing a younger woman.

Aside from being pretty and good at billiards, she didn't have much of a personality or character growth, so I don't know what she brought to the table, which adds to the feeling that his pursuit of her seems superficially based on her looks (love at first sight, remember?) So really, my issue isn't with him and how he pursued her; it's a reflection of her because she never seemed to grow into the relationship along with him.
On Amidst a Snowstorm of Love Feb 16, 2024
I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm not a huge fan of this couple. The overall story and the world of competitive billiards kept me interested in the plot, but I never really felt like the leads had connection, which is a shame because the big picture story of an expat who finds his purpose and strives to be better person and athlete after experiencing love at first sight is interesting. Instead, I found the actual romance superficial and the interactions between Yi Yang and Guo stilted and awkward. When Guo had a pregnancy scare, I was literally like, "Wait, you two had sex?!" because she never seemed comfortable with him touching her -- even when they were alone together and you couldn't chalk up her actions to an aversion to PDA. When you combine her awkward reaction to physical touch with the way he was always staring at her and buying her gifts, he actually felt unintentionally predatory. I honestly liked Yi Yang's character when he wasn't around Guo, who was very flat and one dimensional, and I wish his love interest had been a little more mature and/or comfortable in her own skin.

This drama would have been over after 10 episodes if the FL had just stopped listing to her best friend's dating advice.

SY was practicing her script-lines for the fake wedding consultation with JH.
Haha. Just checking ! I watched it on my lunch break, so I wasn't sure if I missed a key piece of dialogue.

Did I miss something? I don't get the sense that they were dating or even on the verge of dating. SY definitely has a crush on him, but when she gave him chocolate, he seemed very uncomfortable with the gesture and put it in the drawer with the rest of his admirers' gifts.

All the talk in the car was about their undercover sting operation. In order to make their story believable, like they were an actual couple, they needed to drop the professional honorifics, which is why she called him "oppa." She has a crush on him, so she was letting herself get caught up in the fantasy.

They definitely said he was a widower
The neighbors called him a widower, but the end of episode two makes me suspect that he either lied to people about his marital status or the neighbors, being closed-minded people, assumed he was a widow because that's the only reason a single man would raise a child on his own.

I'm confused. I'm seeing online that there was a scene in which we see a young Director Han/Grim Reaper in a fire and that maybe Dr. K is her brother? What episode and at what time mark did this occur because I do not remember seeing it ? Did I fall asleep? Was it an after credits scene?
