nice concept of the storyline but not executed very well
Despite the rating the comments are very positive so I gave it a try. To be honest at episode 7 I was loosing interest and I wanted to drop the drama but it only has a 10 episodes so I finished watching it.The concept of the story is good but it was not executed very well. Unfortunately nothing about this drama stands out for me. Also I don't like the open ending, specially if there is no sertency that there will be another season.
The acting is okay as their performance is average and I did not build any sympathy or feelings towards the characters.
I really liked the edvanced technology they showed but it is a shame the drama is lacking in so many ways.

great acting but too slow pace
The acting is great, interesting storyline but its too draggy and I got bored. I had to warch on high speed to finish it. I wanted to know how it will ends.Sang Mi suffered so much and to be abandoned by her family, specially her sick father. It was hard to watch. Sang Hwan character is so annoying and he always makes the situation worst. The real hero is Dong Chul. He risked everything to save her but it seems like Sang Hwan got all the credit for it.
Its interesting storyline and very sad to see how easily people can get brainwashed and even more that places like that exist.

Yim Si Wan…Wow what a amazing performance!!!
I am surprised that this drama is not more popular. It’s soo good!!The first half you gonna laugh and the second half is pure suffering.
The story was great. The only negative (enoying )is that I hated the sceens with Seona and wished someone would beat Jang up so he would come to his sense. Also he was getting too confident and cocky so the story unraveled as it should.
The end was so satisfying (not talking about the post credit sceen) Si Wan is amazing…the acting!! Can’t wait for season 2.

Great acting saved badly written drama.
I was so looking forward to this drama as the concept is really interesting, but the drama did not deliver. It was an easy watch as it is only 10 very short episodes. To be honest, I stayed for the acting as it was great and mostly for the villain, as Young Kwang was born to be a villain. I saw his drama Eviline and he slayed the role as well.
I wish they spent more time on the stories of the victims, as the most touching was about the students. You feel for them as there is no justice if you have no money and nobody cares, so instead of ending their life, they choose the gun. I get what Moon Baek wanted to achieve, as the situation in Korea is appalling. The suicide rate is over the roof, people been chased/killed by loan sharks, bullying... one day you reach the point of desperation and pull the trigger. The story of the gangsters was unnecessary and did not bring much to the drama; I would say it was quite the opposite. It would be better if they explored the impact on society and if people would start to change. Also portraying the police as useless and in the meanwhile Lee Do sorts and saves everyone by himself. Especially the last fight, he kills the whole commando. The ending did not feel right and not satisfying at all.
The script is just a mess, and the acting saved the show.
It is an okay drama, not bad, not great. Such a shame as if it was done properly, it could have been awesome.

Real drama of 90s - Chang Wook amazing transformation
I think it is the most realistic drama I had seen. The production is great and the atmosphere of the 90s is so real. I love both ML leads. They have done great job.I love the development of Seung Ho and his fenomenal transformation from cop to thug as he really became one. And build thrue friendship with Ki Chul. Also Hae Ryeon character was great and she was the main character to comparation to Eui Jung as her character/acting did not left any expression on me.
Despite it has sad ending, I have to say it is great ending. Everyone gets what they deserve. Specially the fat cop as he was the most enoying character ever. I felt quite bad for Chul as he put his trust to wrong people and because of that he lost everything and everyone betrayed him. I could see the pain in his eyes as he confronts them and he had nothing to live for anymore.
I wish they could walk together through the streets of Gangnam forever. That last seen made me quite emotional.

disappointed-waste of time
After reading comments and reviews I was expecting so much from the drama but I have to say that I am disappointed.I don’t know why but I didn’t like the FL. I could not connect to the characters and the drama wasn’t very engaging. I had to keep skipping scenes just to finish it. The story was good…it could be great drama if executed differently.
I dont understand how someone can compare this drama to My dearest which is total masterpiece!!

Hot Hot hot....but missing proper storytelling
10Dance is a movie that looks absolutely stunning on screen, but unfortunately, it doesn't quite reach the emotional heights of the source material. It feels like a beautiful shell that’s missing a bit of the soul that makes a great BL story.
If you’re here for the visuals, you won’t be disappointed. The dance sequences are incredible—stylish, high-energy, and shot with a lot of flair. You can tell the actors put in massive work to make those ballroom and Latin moves look authentic.
Also, can we talk about the Male Lead? (Whether you’re team Suzuki/Ryoma Takeuchi or Sugiki/Keita Machida). The "hot" factor is definitely there. The physical tension during the practice scenes is the strongest part of the film; that "silent" chemistry while they are dancing is way more powerful than the actual dialogue.
The biggest issue is the storyline. Because it’s a movie and not a series, the plot feels rushed and, at times, totally flat. We see them dance, and we see them "being hot," but we don't get enough of those quiet, intimate moments that make you actually care about them as a couple.
In other BLs, you're rooting for the leads to be together because you feel their struggle. Here, it feels like the movie relies too much on the fact that they are attractive and good at dancing, rather than building a proper emotional bridge. By the end, I wasn't as invested in their relationship as I wanted to be.
Watch it if you want a stylish, "sexy" movie with great choreography and handsome leads. But if you’re looking for a deep, emotional story that will stay with you, 10Dance might feel a little bit empty.

Perfect plot with unpredictable twists!
It is a difficult journey of a family where you can see what happens when trust is lost and seeds of doubt are planted. It also shows how important communication is.The most perfect plot that I have ever seen. I was hooked from the first episode and finished the drama in two days. I love how they reveal the truth gradually in each episode, and we get to know who the culprit is, or at least we think we do, as it is impossible to guess till the end.
Compared to other dramas where you can identify the culprit after a few episodes, in this one, it is impossible, and there is a new plot twist almost every episode. It makes your brain work and doubt everything you see. Hats off to the screenwriting, as it is flawless. Also, the director has done a great job of maintaining the suspense throughout the drama, and the cinematography and soundtrack are perfect. Of course, I cannot forget to mention the amazing performances of Seok Kyu and Won Bin.
I do not think it is too slow-paced. For me, it is perfect as it builds the atmosphere and slowly uncovers the truth. It is not like the usual thrillers where there is a lot of action and predictability.
I am disappointed that the rating is so low, and not many people talk about this masterpiece.

Great drama for the first half than it turned into American nonsense!
I have to say, "Tempest" started out incredible. I was absolutely glued to my screen. The show was packed with great action and genuine suspense, and it had this energy that was super addictive. The best part, hands down, was seeing Jun Ji-hyun and Gang Dong-won together. Their chemistry was off the charts! They were brilliant in every scene, and they made the whole bodyguard/spy thing work so well. I especially appreciated the plot's initial approach to global politics. It felt smart because it touched on the truth: the USA always seems to find a reason to start wars in different countries so they can profit from them, just like they've done for decades. This angle made the story feel refreshing and insightful.
But then... what happened?
You could feel the writing getting weaker as they got closer to the end. The scripts started getting sloppy, and that final episode with the plot twist? Borderline ridiculous. It completely undid all the careful build-up from the first half.
Honestly, it just turned into one of those lame, generic American dramas that I can't even sit through anymore. It’s such a shame because the first half was so amazing. They had a massive hit on their hands, but the ending just ruined the whole ride. Such a major letdown.

Exceptional acting but disappointing writing
A compelling premise and brilliant acting couldn't save this thriller from its own flaws. While the central idea was intriguing, the execution simply fell flat, resulting in a drama that was just 'good' instead of extraordinary. The emotional and psychological depth of the drama centered entirely on the fascinating development of the mother-son relationship. Watching Detective Cha Su-yeol confront and slowly process his bond with his killer mother, Jung I-shin, was the true highlight of the series.
This core dynamic was powerfully carried by the cast. Go Hyun-jung delivered an amazing, dominating performance as the serial killer, fully embodying the character's chilling complexity. I found myself unable to resist sympathizing with her actions, given she only targeted abusers in situations where the law was helpless. This moral ambiguity—a killer driven by a warped sense of vigilante justice—elevated the entire viewing experience. Jang Dong-yoon also excelled in his role, skillfully portraying his character's internal turmoil.
However, the writing was the biggest flaw. The police characters were frustratingly incompetent, and the female detective, in particular, was often annoying and poorly handled. On the plus side, the mystery itself was well-constructed; the writers successfully kept the killer's identity hidden, proving my guesses wrong. The twist in the final episode was a spectacular moment, leaving me speechless and redeeming some of the earlier missteps. The obvious open ending sets the stage for a potential second season.

Great drama with shamanism essence but loosing its memento towards the end
I finally understand all the hype about this drama! I was completely hooked from the start, especially the first 10 episodes. Young Woo acting as both main characters was incredible, and he showed the same
impressive talent he did in Tale of lady Ok. I particularly loved watching his character Bae Gyeon mature and find redemption, shedding his guilt along the way. Another highlight was seeing Young Woo to
play the evil spirit. It was fascinating to watch him, and even though he was a villain, you couldn't help but feel a sense of sympathy for him.
I was completely invested in the dynamic of the main trio. Even with the love triangle, their chemistry was undeniable, and I found myself strongly rooting for Bae Gyeon. The plot was both captivating and unique, with the incorporation of shamanism providing a welcome andfresh twist on the romance genre.
However, the drama did lose some of its steam in the final episodes. The narrative didn't feel as tight or exciting as the beginning, and I was genuinely bothered by how the central villain was allowed to run
rampant without any consequences, which led to a rather unsatisfying resolution.

Good criminal drama
It is a good crime drama that will keep your attention as the events slowly unfold. It has a good storyline, even if saying one word to the police would end the game. The acting is good, and they have good chemistry as well.It is a shame that it is not available on any streaming platforms, so I had to watch it in bad quality with terrible subtitles, and because of that, the experience was not so great.
Overall, it is a good thriller that will keep you seated.

Heartwarming story of friendship.
I did not expect to like this drama so much. The drama is mostly focused on the young boys and their journey, which involves bagnington. It will make you care about them and laugh with them. It is such a heartwarming journey.I love the bond and the relationship they built and how they cared for each other.
Also, the villagers are funny, and their way of slowly becoming one big family is just awesome.
I love the acting and the production; even though it's 16 episodes long, I didn't get bored.

thw only good thing in the drama is Park Hyung Sik.
What a disaster. I was hoping for a great revenge drama, and instead it's a boring drama that has no soul. The concept is good, but it fails at execution. It relies on the acting, but the scripts are so bad. It did not attract me from the beginning, but I thought, "Okay, I will watch one more episode as it may get better," but no. I did not really care about the characters except Dong Ju. I kept watching it for him.I could not waste my time any longer and dropped it at episode 8 and skipped to the last one. The ending was not satisfying at all after he had to get through so much.

nice to see our team back not as good as season 1
I loved to see our dream team back solving new cases from a new village. Joon Ho is a nice addition to the team, and I like his bond with Wook. But to be honest, I liked the first season better, as the village characters were better, and I really wasn't attached to the new villagers. The ending was a nice surprise, and I would love to see a new village with Siwan. Was this review helpful to you?
