If possible, do not watch on Freevee app
Very good movie but I watched on Freevee and the subtitlor never provided subs for anything written which is unfortunate because the movie revolves around what's being said online.I didn't expect them to translate every single comment as they quickly scrolled by in some scenes, (but they should've done at least two out of those each time so we could get the impression of how people were responding on the characters online posts) and especially when the camera took the time to zoom in on certain comments or posts, then you can assume those comments were important enough that they should have been translated.
Thankfully, it's possible to follow the story anyway but if I knew the name of the company providing the subtitles, I would be writing an email to that company and to Freevee complaining that they should not use that particular translator any more.
I gave the movie 9 stars but it could've possibly been a 10 if I had been able to follow exactly what was being said online amongst the characters.

Either horribly edited or just plain horrible
Perhaps QiYi's version of this is heavily edited. This is just a complete mess from the get go. I've started typing out this mish-mash several times but then realized there no way to describe the issues without writing spoilers and since I want people to avoid this mess, I don't want my warning to be hidden.JUST DON'T WATCH THIS UNLESS YOU CAN FIND A VERSION LONGER THAN 1:32:08 Maybe a longer version would reveal what is actually happening. Yes, the subs are bad but that alone can't account for the missing chunks in the story.

FL seems incorrigible until...
At first FL is not likeable. She seems to be a schemer and a manipulator. But as the story unfolds, you realize that had she not done the things she did in the early part of the drama - coming on to ML, acting as if she wanted to complete the sex act but once he finally gives in, she suddenly reverses. This seemed very puzzling but eventually you realize that he would have kept her in the role of plaything and never married her because of his trauma related to his mother's death and FL resembling the woman responsible.I also felt some type of weird way because it almost feels like "grooming" if you read into the lines like when they're about to consummate, he says "remember what I taught you". The only thing that makes this a little less problematic is I do think he waited until she became an adult before being inappropriate with her, I also think he tried to resist somewhat but sis was going all out.
A huge plot point is FL was a child (I think they said 8) when she "blackmailed him to take her in". (He was a teen/no more than early 20, I think.) But I'm still not clear what she possibly could have blackmailed him with. Of course, it could be a shortcoming with the writers but it could also be a subtitle issue. That has happened where I've rewatched a drama from a different YouTube channel or different streaming platform and suddenly everything makes sense.
