Although, I also suppose that since Desired Kisses was banned in Chna, so maybe that's why Doting on You Again drama had minimal "zest". I would've understood if it had an enjoyable plot.

EDITED: this other wiki also lists dramas that are not on MDL for instance, this actor Jin Jia Yu has a drama I'm watching right now called What's Wrong with Secretary Xu? (Chinese version of the Korean drama) that should've appeared on MDL long before Desired Kisses yet it's not listed on MDL at all. Because MDL does list other dramas in between this new one and Desired Kisses, I don't think it will ever appear on MDL.

Leene - since you speak Chinese, maybe you can help with a part of the dialogue that just seems to go around in a circle and makes no sense (part of why I've watched so many version is to see if different subs would make more sense to me). FL asks ML if he brought "protection" and he says "Do we need it? Will you have a baby for me?" She says something like "A baby would be the result of our pure love" and he says "Let me rephrase that. Let's have a baby together"
My question is, is there something more that's missing in the transmission of that conversation?

I've forgotten what language Google Translate said that review is. Dramafren.org is free but 1) it's having some issues right now in that they did some overhaul on the format and the search function disappeared. Two days later it was back but a banner across the top was blocking from seeing what you wanted to search and 2) the biggest problem is you can't search by actor so you either know the name they decided to call the drama and you can search for that or you have to scroll through until you recognize the face of the actor or recognize the thumbnail poster. I'm hoping they'll fix the search feature back to how it was AND that they'll improve by allowing searches by actors' names.

You have to watch a good version. I've watched this several times on different platforms because of 1) the very to thing you speak in of - green screen missing inserts and 2) looking for better subtitles, and, of course 3) I fell in love with ML so I didn't mind watching all those times. First I watched YouTube, then Dramafren, next Daily Motion, after that iQIYI. Also, the one review left on MDL mentions "female lead escapes toxicity". There was no toxicity at all! Not unless you count the boyfriend who sent her to another man, but that's at the very beginning and we never saw her in scenes with the ex until much, much later as he regrets not cherishing her when he had her.

This is nothing but a big ball of misery for no good reason. I don't know why my favorite short drama actor Jin Jia Yu agreed to star in this one. For a far better experience but slightly similar story matter, watch My Last Boyfriend starring Wang Kaimu.
