This is why I've always preferred Viki's subtitlors. I haven't watched as much as I used to so they may have changed now, but in the past, they did not translate Oppa nor Noona. In the first episode or two, they would add a parenthetical briefly explaining the use of the words.

A woman calling her man "daddy" is from an older generation. It's not used often anymore (unless there's some type of fetish behavior involved). Americans nowadays tend to call their sweethearts - baby; boo; babe; bay

I think when it SLAMMED home for me was watching a Kdrama and while one scene was focusing on the elders (biological siblings) and it felt so weird to see a 60 year old woman calling her 60-something year old brother "Oppa". That snapped all the thoughts of the word only applying to young siblings or romantic couples. 😂

I'm a decades long Korean dramas watcher. You've explained the use of "Oppa" well. But knowing how it's supposed to be used, it makes me cringe when people from other countries mis-use "Oppa" (except in my own exception where Rain will be always be Rain oppa despite the fact he's my son's age) 😆

1) SML sees ML on a rooftop aiming an automatic assault rifle and the scene cuts and it's never mentioned again? Did I call asleep and miss ML's explanation?

2) in EP 16, ML said he had to be "born again just like you were" yet FL hasn't aged? I understood when she was supposedly reborn and had to grow up as her murder was 28 years before and ML doesn't agree because he's a fairy But his did that work at the end with her rebirth?

Unfortunately, even dramas scheduled to air on Netflix are not always available in every region.

I have disliked the actor that played Seo Jae Hee in everything I've ever seen him in. Although it's true that in the dramas I've seen that he's been in, he's always the antagonist or at least, if not outright bad, he's slimy in some way. Maybe the casting directors see in him the same way we do? 😆

I'm a huge fan of the tsundre (may be spelled wrong) male lead who softens later but only toward his one true love BUT I could not tolerate the downright cruelty of ML to FL (and I'm not some wilting violet - quite the opposite). I hate to drop shows and I'm usually compelled to finish them no matter how bad they are but this was too much even for me.
