I remembered when I heard the news (I was a total newbie kdramalander). I wasn't a fan, but Bungee Jumping was one of my first kmovie, and it gave me a strong impression. It broke my heart when I heard the news. I do remember that suicidal note in the news, "Mom, I am sorry and I love you."
Rest In Peace, Onni. You'll be remembered well. Thanks for ALL of your hardworks. I'm sure, someone as peaceful and as hardworking as you, will get a nice place in the Eternal Palace. Amen. <333
"I can't give this drama anything but a 10/10 because for its style it was perfect. It was almost exactly what I was expecting."
>> I'm soo agree! And for me, it WAS exactly what I was expecting. Kehehe. I don't give 10s to every dramas I loved, but this was just perfect for its genre.
Hm. Well, I expected this article would cover the popular cultures (games, movies, etc) in the 1990 in Korea and perhaps, how it influence the current hallyu / kdrama culture. So, in that sense, yes, it is a bad thing imho.
If you use a collage of these 1990s born actress and actors, or at least combine the 90 games thingy with a collage of those actors, or even better, give an in-depth of how those 90's pop cultures influence the characters of those actors, I won't complaint
I didn't fancy Mitsusama acting style. Too forced I guess. But that's apart, this was a very lovely and cute school drama. I totally recommend this if you want something light, entertaining, with lots of positive energy. I think the biggest treat is how this drama over a look of how our past influence our present time in a very light way :)
And no matter how people kept saying, "Furukawa acted that stiff because that just how Naoki is", I'll say: No. Sorry, Furukawa fangirls out there, but Naoki is COLD not stiff. But Furukawa is a young new actor, I believe he can improve his skill as time goes by.
Something is definitely missing here. It's not everyday you get a tv drama which cover the couple story until their marriage life, but something big is definitely missing. I'm not married yet but I know marriage is not something light, and they treat marriage life too light here I think. Cute moments were everywhere but that's it. I think the biggest flaw is they tried too hard to follow the manga events and style. It worked like a charm for the first season, but failed in this one.
I don't expect it to suddenly become angsty and drama, but I don't know, it just felt too light, messy, and too rushed. It almost felt like watching Harry Potter movies: It nice to see the events came to life, but that's it. It was like watching cosplayers acted out the manga events here and there and compiled the scenes in 16+ hours youtube indie movie.
What I really like about him is, how he keep moving forward and keep growing as an actor (even though very slowly). I will never forget how people (korean / international kdrama fans) used to looked down on him: "well he is tall and handsome and has sexy brain, but can he act??!!!". Statements like that were all over the net, atleast until around 3 years ago. But look at him now: Fans are everywhere around the globe, and he keeps being him: humble & down to earth.
He probably not the best actor (yet), but he's definitely a very tough person.
I remember he once said, he would like to be an A list actor who becomes more charming as the time goes by. I can see it coming.
Keep Move Forward, Lee Sang Yoon! The world is for people like you: TOUGH: A person who don't take people insult as a reason to get down, but rather a motivation to be better.
I can see why people like it, but I don't know, I just couldn't enjoy it as much as the other. It's not that I don't like PG rated things, but I don't know.. Something is missing..
It's refreshing, but that's all. Nothing keep me interested..
Is he really hot as so many are commenting because this pic makes me want to vomit!
If you don't find him attractive but really curios what the big fuss is, I'd suggest go check out his older bro: Matsuda Ryuhei: similar face, similar bad boy image, KINDA have similar acting style, but gave off different impression (IMHO). I couldn't find him (little bro/Shota) that attractive as well (and yes, I've watched Liar Game), but watching Ryuhei's acting (even though I've only seen a little) gave me a strong impression!
