This wasn't my first kdrama but if kdramaland was guys, then, this definitely was my first crush. You know how you went crazy over the boy next door in your teens, you moved on, then now, yearss later, you realize he wasn't that great, but he still manages to make you smile each time you remember him. That's what I feel towards this drama :)
Milky Couple. It's easy to explain: Woo-young + IU (I-Yoo) = Woo-Yoo = Milk --> Milky Couple :)
anyway, I love Shi Kyung - Jae Shin too, and my other personal favorite was from an old 2002 drama Dating Now. The sidekick couple (rookie Kwon Sang Woo & Lee Eui Jung) totally stole the show from Chae Rim - So Ji Sub.
Their story was somewhat cliche where they were total opposite from both appearance & character. The guy was carefree, childish, good looking and (of course) player, while the girl was an intelligent nerd complete with the typical unattractive nerdy looking. The girl was the guy's noona's bff, and the story revealed how this casual noona-dongsaeng relationship went to romantic relationship with believable story telling. There were no ugly duckling becoming a gorgeous swan.. Simply adorable..
I love him not just because he is a very good actor, but he seems like a family man which is uber cool (as I'm used to not expecting such guy coming from showbizz industry). A success young actor married at such young age with a lady much older than him, and having 2 kids in a row.. And he is "only" 28! I personally think it's very adorable..! I'm dying to see him with his kids. He and little Ashida Mana had such amazing chemistry in Usagi Drop, so I bet it will be much more awesome with his own kids *nose bleeding* (yeah, I'm such a sucker for family man type). I hope Matsuken & wifey Koyuki will live happily ever-after life with their (I bet) adorable kids <3
well, perhaps she is lucky to have him, but I think he is as lucky to have her. His wife is one of the most beautiful actress in Japan and she has a big name in the industry as well..
I think their story was just like a dreamy romance movie / tv dramas where you know it could only happened in fictional tales, but this one is.., real..!
This is random but I'm pretty irritated by how some early fans / watchers addressed the main leads (JIS & SHK) as just "the main actor" or "the main actress" as if they were some unknown rookie / underdog names.. Well, I know this is kinda bias, but hey, they are BIG names! Adressing them like that was just sounds.., ignorant. Of course I'm totally cool if they are new to k-drama land, but if they call them self a solid k-drama fan and did it.., well, that just sounds so ignorant.. Note that this isn't coming from JIS/SHK fangirl.
Sorry for the random ranting, just want to spill this out :)
I can't agree more from the first review up there.. KSW and his partner here totally stole the show. It was so much fun to watch this drama just for them (the sidekick couple).
i get attracted to this drama because it parodying Dragon Quest. I haven't played any of them yet, but I liked rpg games and used to play quite some of them. So far I'm quite loving it, but it seems I lift my hope a bit too high, it's not as funny as I expected, but still a good watch.^^
all over the site there're always warning says: "DO NOT POST SPOILERS", and yet the synopsis up there is blutantly reveal one of the biggest spoiler ever. It upset me so much..

Hi Bladey! I'm glad then, if they're just metaphorical. Well, you know in the poster the actress are just so doll-a-like. Japanese doll are super scary ^^;;
Sure, I'll gladly report to you if I've seen it :)
IMO if you want to list coolest k-drama heroines, I think you should consider Cha Song-ju of Capital Scandal (played by Han Go-eun) as a strong candidate. No-one (who have watched the drama) can deny her coolness as I concern.. Though, I can completely understand she is not chosen, seeing how underrated the drama is.. :)

Hi Bladey! Thank you, that's give me some enlightment. I think I'll give it a shot. I just hope it doesn't felt too spooky (dolls are scary!) :)

Hello! I stumble upon your drama list, and I found it seems your taste is quite similar to me. I saw you gave perfect score for the movie "Dolls", which once attracted my eyes, but soon neglected it, due to the so-so reviews I found. Could you write a proper review about it? It will be super nice to read a review from someone with similar taste of mine :D
Why I just discover this wonderful actor?! He's a hidden gem for sure! His acting is soo convincing. Really talented! He is 40+ yet still so charming <3
And I had no idea he was in Ordinary People..
I watched this ages ago, so I can't remember well, but among The Ring trilogy, this is my absolute favorite! It didn't as scary as the 1st and 2nd, but definitely has more drama in it (and that's why I loved it).
