I think Adachi will be the one to be doing the mindreading for Tsuge. He's shown to touch blond guy in the preview (to stop the fight). Adachi may be able to get some intel from that which will help with Tsuge getting a succesful friendship/relationship with blond guy.

Worst thing is that Tsuge is likely gonna be touching Adachi (on the shoulder from what I saw on promo pictures) for that mindread thing. Thats probably when Kurosawa sees them and is like: ''???!!!!?''

Yes and I'd love to see that ace representation if it does ever happen. I doubt it will anytime soon though because I think a lot of BL fans do watch BL to fetishize gay people through fanservice.

That's why I can love romance-based stories like this because I don't have to be wondering if they are making out for the views or if its representation. Sexual content has two sides, it is closer to reality but it is also just plain content used for making fangirls feel happy. In most BLs I've seen I highly suspect the sexualized content is just for the fangirls to drool over, not proper LGBT representation. Where do you put that line between whats LGBT representation and just plain fanservice? What is your ideal case of LGBT representation? Pinoy BL such as ''Like in the movies'' or Western BL like SKAM? Yes they do things differently and might reflect the ideal LGBT image you have for BLs more but Japan isn't the West or the Philippines, it's a different culture with different views.

So what some people may perceive as a ''positive sexual representation of physical intimacy'' might just be a fanservice scene to get the fangirls happy. I agree that its important to show that both straight and gay couples can have sexual relations but not every drama has to do that. Again I have a list of dramas where Japanese gay couples do have intimate relations to varrying degrees if you want that.

In my opinion its important to respect those different cultures and try to judge a drama within the expectations that can be made for dramas airing within that country. This BL is very similar to what an average jdrama in Japan would show in terms of sexuality. They won't pull a MyDay or Tharntype for a drama because that just doesn't fit within the set image of Japanese BLs that Japanese people have.

They didn't make this drama for international people to see themselves represented, they made it for their own people to enjoy and feel represented. If this type of LGBT content doesn't feel like proper representation to you, it might feel like that much more to an actual Japanese person (the people it is intended for).

Because they are seeing a gay couple on tv and are likely thankful for it to not be regressed into pure fanservice or offensive jokes. YES those offensive jokes happened before and thats why its so important to know about a countries history with LGBT content before requiring them to adhere to Western/another cultures standards. If you wanna know more please check out Bibari to Rui. Realise that this was the level of LGBT representation on Japanese tv for a while and you'll likely understand why wholesome content is much more appreciated. This show is predatory behaviour of LGBT characters used as a joke on Japanese tv.

So sexual depictions of LGBT doesn't have to be representation. It can also be used against LGBT people and its important to know the history of LGBT in a specific country before making them adhere to standards we may have in the West or other Asian countries.

I hope with this you understand my views of sexualization of LGBT content in Japan a lot better. As I warned before, it is a complicated matter and that involves multiple subjects regarding the type of genre (LGBT/yaoi/BL) and LGBT history of Japan.
To judge a Japanese BLs content solely based on BLs from other Asian countries is a regressive view of the situation. You can do it if you want but I hope this explains why I cannot easily agree to that based on what I know about Japanese LGBT media.

Okay I was just visiting Weibo again for my Cherry Magic gifs and saw a post about the silk PJ-set that Kurosawa gives to Adachi in episode 2. It was about some theory which I quickly found to be untrue however....

Yeah there've been at least 2 yaoi adaptations this year tho! So that with the amount of BL series does make me think theres a chance for more adaptations.

Claymore is indeed very violent as well! I've read worse violent ones (Berserk) too though so Ragna Crimson wasn't that shocking. Its just different for Ragna Crimson since I associate it with Adachi and Kurosawa now xD

That's (man up) what Adachi was told in the episode 7 flashback when he didn't wanna drink wine too T__T I hope your sister becomes more understanding towards the characters!

Just wanna say again how much I appreciate Fujisakis character in the drama. She's the perfect example of just a good female character in a BL. She has her own troubles which make her character feel real but she's also extremely selfless and just generally kind. I also really appreciated how she represented women who don't want relationships for themselves. She doesn't need dialogue to express herself as even in episode 7 its pretty clear what she's thinking when seeing Adachi.

She doesn't openly tease them, doesn't fantasize about them (praise the drama writers), doesn't talk behind their backs and isn't chasing one of them for love just so there's more drama in the show. Its such a great character.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of her character in future episodes. She's actually my favorite female character in all of the BLs I've seen.

1. Kurosawa got jealous of Adachi and Tsuge. He took Adachi with him to a room alone, they talked and eventually Kurosawa kisses Adachi. Yeah I would love for the drama to have Adachi initiate it too but I do trust the drama to portray it better than the manga.
2. Adachi still keeps a lot of thoughts to himself in the manga. So some things aren't that well discusses between them. Again I think the drama will portray it better. We do need 1 more conflict thought and it might result from Adachi keeping his objections silent? I'm not sure since the ending isn't out yet. They haven't gotten beyond just kissing though.
