You can try promoting it in the online BL communities that already exist. I do this quite often myself as well. For example I remember someone made a tiktok edit of a BL scene and got the show itself some interest.

JBL is kinda in this weird spot where it has to rely on a lotttt of fan-promotion. If the show is too short there's not enough time for that fan-promotion to take off. So thats the situation that Old Fashioned Cupcake is in unfortunately.

The start is actually pretty solid and there were new things in it. JBL on a roll again.

I loved Test Content of theirs. Not big on the sequel but oh well.

Had to see it for the cast. It's one of the historical events in Japan that is very memorable.

Beautiful scenes of Japan at the time.

I was happily surprised hearing of a remake but also worried. However, having seen 17 episodes now, there have been plenty of cute moments to keep me engaged. Its got a different enough atmosphere for me and I actually look forward to seeing the iconic moments.
