I heard this one will also not have a kiss T_T Why!!! Give me a fish kiss I will happily accept it! But can someone…
We won't know for sure until the entire show has aired, no matter what the manga does. But I do have good faith that they will include one. Mayby I'm wrong but we will see.
Some people do love the show but their rating system tends to be on the lower side overall. So you get ratings…
As far as I know there has been one article about a Japanese movie with a gay main character. But that one didn't have LGBT romance in it. So I think that's what is being avoided.
Some people do love the show but their rating system tends to be on the lower side overall. So you get ratings…
Yeah they have it stated in their article guidelines/rules not to write about BL. Just adding here that those rules have since been unlinked in their respective forum posts. I accessed them when they were still openly available as a guideline but I'm not sure it's still easy to find on here.
While some managed to get through that guideline with just small mentions of BL shows there hasn't been a full BL article on MDL ever. Untamed and all other danmei are already censored when aired so I'm not counting those.
How come this is not a 10 MDL????The story is great and Aoki is THE CUTEST!!! Shame on you people.
Some people do love the show but their rating system tends to be on the lower side overall. So you get ratings of 8 for this show from people who do really love the show but rate lower overall. It's still a very high total rating.
I'd be more concerned about why its not in the top airing list on the MDL frontpage despite being the most popular airing jdrama right now. This show was removed from the list of airing jdramas for some reason. Considering MDLs way of dealing with BLs in other ways (zero BL articles) it's a bit sus despite other countries being unaffected.
It’s totally alright for you to feel so!I thought the same but as the story progress,I realised Aoki was never…
His interest in Hashimoto has been explained by others extensively so I won't bring that up again. As for the points I still wanna make: Unless Aoki states himself that ''I only like men now'' he isn't gay but still bi. The only thing he does say in the manga (from my memory) is that he only likes Ida (which is a person, not an entire gender).
I understand disappointment if there is a representation that fails your expectations but love stories are unique to each person. Wanting Aoki to live up to your standard of what it means to be ''a raging flaming bisexual'' kinda seems like erasure of the diverse lovestories that fall within the category of bisexuality.
i love how they are making the series exactly like the manga. nothing less, and the lil extras are not shitty.the…
Agreed with this. It's just a lighthearted lovestory and this whole discussion makes it seem like the creators commited a crime by just having a hasty lovestory in a 10 episode show.
Cherry Magic has more than 15.000 comments which Kieta Hatsukoi unfortunately won't reach due to its shorter duration…
That's 2 weeks less of active interaction after building up a decent fanbase on MDL. It'll matter if you want a comment number that high. If those 2 weeks didn't happen there'd likely be ~2000 less comments on CM. If you look at the statistics: https://kisskh.at/708381-kieta-hatsukoi/statistics You'll see a wave of user activity after each episode. Those will continue to grow slightly larger every time and will peak when the show finishes airing. After that activity does drop quite quickly.
Cherry Magic has more than 15.000 comments which Kieta Hatsukoi unfortunately won't reach due to its shorter duration (10 episodes) but yeah for a jdrama its a lot ^^
Depends on how closely they follow the manga. If they continue to follow the manga then yes.
Cause its not translated to English yet. I visit a site with users that have access to the Japanese/Chinese versions of the manga and they post screenshots of moments.
The kissed happened in the manga around chap 28 and they only do 2 chap per episode. So they will only cover until…
This is where I would look to past examples like Cherry Magic. You see Cherry Magic closely followed the manga too for the first few episodes but started strongly deviating from the plot the further the episodes progressed.
I think the same will happen to Kieta Hatsukoi. But yeah it may feel a bit rushed depending on how they handle it. So a lot of inspiration from the original source but we will see more and more that the drama will forge its own identity in order to have an ending that wraps up the story.
You see in Cherry Magic drama we end with Adachi losing his virginity, at that point the manga had not reached that point at all. So the drama essentially skipped forward a bunch to be able to cover that plotpoint.
Or take Zettai BL. The manga has not ended yet but the drama producers just decided to create their own ending for it. Will the manga end that way? Likely not, the drama is just its own thing.
So in short: I do still think a kiss is one of the possible outcomes but I will also still warn against having too high hopes for the kiss fans out there. But I have a real good feeling about this one.
So you were able to join? Glad to hear it ^^ I wasn't sure if the few ones who actually mentioned wanting to join…
Oh good to hear you were able to join! The watchparty sites rules unfortunately do state a limit. Discord can indeed host a lot more people but the server I am in is not meant solely for viewing shows but also has a community aspect revolving around jdramas. So not super fitting.
you can watch it raw right now if you join RandomUsagi's stream, just join by pressing the link in recent discussions…
So you were able to join? Glad to hear it ^^ I wasn't sure if the few ones who actually mentioned wanting to join were there due to different usernames. Limit of 12 was tough.
