To me, it looked shamelessly plagiarized from the Battle of Helm's Deep...
I can see some elements from that battle scene reflected in this one yes but I personally don't mind as long as the endproduct is nice. It was on a way smaller scale anyway, just a nice battle scene between all the calmer stuff.
For people who sstill believe in the (crazy) theory about Ga On being the real PC based on the scar: Ga On was…
I need more context behind his story as well. But yeah its him. Not only did we get that shoulder scar but also the same way of handling an arrow ''the swingy thing'' as the assassin. And he acted sus by snooping around in the palace in different outfit.
What we know regarding this is that his father got killed as a traitor (flashback ep 8).
I think that he signed up for killing the next royal in line because of that out of revenge for his father. He had failed in the hunt to kill her so he just joined the guard to get close to her. Through that he found out that killing her wouldn't actually be that impactful for the royal house and now he has his sights on bigger targets in the royal family. So he's kinda sorta? ally now but still could turn against them depending on if she and Ji Woon stand in his way. But Ga On has nothing to gain from the crown prince dying for now it seems since he protected her.
Warscene was awesome and I'm loving the storyline. But I'm mainly here for the super sweet brother-sister bond between FL and Zhuo Ying instead of the romance. That can still change down the road of course but their bond is a great part of the drama.
I also get the whole ''but what about the manners!!'' thing but its a bit silly. Lets be real here in reality…
That varries from woman to woman. Some feel pain and others don't feel anything at all. So I can still believe to some extent she just won the genetic lottery on that one. But yes that could've been an additional issue too.
Yeah the list was made about a week before today, on the date I submitted the article, and actually for span time…
Oh the episode amount never changed from 10 but other things could've changed yes. This is an issue which started from basically the first week of KH airing so its a longterm thing.
It's coming to Viki under the name "My Love Mix-Up!" https://www.viki.com/tv/38218c-my-love-mix-up
Are you sure? It says unlicensed which I assume means they haven't picked up the license of Kieta Hatsukoi yet. But if this means that they 100% will in the future then that's great ^^

Thank you, mayby they will fix it but I know some issues are just left like they are if it isn't deemed worth fixing.
I suspected the reason being BL too (as it has happened before around early 2020) but its weird that they would solely apply it to Japan and not for the rest of the countries. Mayby to see if it would affect popularity as a comparison to Cherry Magic? Whatever the case, at least its back in the overall airing list now.
Okay, but this drama isnt going to follow the traditional saeguk route. The questions about the manners towards…
I also get the whole ''but what about the manners!!'' thing but its a bit silly. Lets be real here in reality a woman pretending to be a male royal would've been caught very very quickly. One unfortunate accident and a doctors visit and its over. So I can't really take the nitpicking about behaviour very seriously. Just enjoy the romance ride.

Home page of MDL -> Top Airing Shows. (right side of screen in browser) Then click on the one for Japan. It shows Kamen Rider Revice on number 1 currently.

Wow I just checked the airing list and its there.... Thats weird. It wasn't on the airing jdrama list for like its entire airtime.
I'm interested to see if the MDL home page will update to have Kieta Hatsukoi included in top 5 (after like 5 weeks) since it has been the top airing jdrama from basically the moment episode 1 aired. The system sure is confusing yes

Kieta Hatsukoi has still not finished airing. Its just not included in the airing jdrama list on MDL for some reason but it still has to air 5 more episodes.
Basically the conclusion is that the only popular 20s jdramas are a highcost Netflix production and BL shows.
My guess on what happened is that while Japan may have been an early starter on the drama market in the 2010s and even before that.. It fell out of favor bigtime when kdramas started their rise. It's the same story as with Japanese pop-music which has also been surpassed by Korean pop by far in popularity. The Japanese media interest in the global market is just not high (with exception to anime) and now the results of that are showing.
Anyway, thanks for doing the bit about taigas and asadoras seperately! Nice to know their rankings on MDL too.
They really going after all the fansubbers. Of all the free fansubbers only HSTeamSub hasn't had their fansubs taken by dramacool yet. So if anyone heres wondering why the font of the subtitles keeps changing for almost every episode of Kieta Hatsukoi on dramacool, theres your reason.

It airs pretty soon and its also a school JBL.

Tears, that reminded me so much of Coffee Prince. Loving the characters but not ready for the upcoming sadness when Ji Woon has to leave.
