It’s a drama, everyone sees things differently, a picture is worth a thousand words

The pageant gives an opportunity to earn money, but it’s just poor writing.
This drama would have been perfect if it was about achieving their dreams everyone would be happy, instead it’s about giving JH slaps and not giving character growth to YR, don’t get me wrong she is great, but it felt like she could have been an icon, a civil rights icon or more… I would have liked to see that

If they wanted a better love triangle he should have just kept dating JH broken up with her and slowly fell in love with YR, instead of writing the girl off

Nah, the writers ruined it, they made JH look desperate, my girl shouldn’t be that obsessed with a guy she never started dating and hasn’t even known him for a year

For those saying JH had seven years to do the pageant, YR and JP also had 7 years to get together, JH life is quite chaotic we don’t know why she didn’t all these years and if this was the fuel that made her compete once again

Also for those that like to point out how shitty a character JH is, YR isn’t an angel she just had a normal life with a normal loving family and friends , she gave bad advice to JH to run away for a self defense case that could have been solved in the police station, YR also never told JP the reason she ran away.

People behave like JH struck gold,
-her parents died
-her brother was abusive and chasing her down
-she lost her best friend and a good job
-she found a rich but mentally unstable adoptive mother
-at this point she isn’t okay in the head, no way she doesn’t need therapy but probably neither of the mother or her takes it
-she ends up in the same town and tried replicating one of the happiest times of life but learnt it has been too late
-she sees YR applying, if YR can apply why can’t she, you are forgetting it’s a competition to them not an automatic win, it’s not you against me, it’s you, her, her, her…

Some people hate JH with all their heart

Everyone sucks in this drama, and that’s pretty humane, YR is not a total angel that can do no wrong, JH is a girl that needs lots of therapy to fix her issues, the writers hate the girl.
The only way to possibly resolve their relationship to some of us is if they have a fight and they pour their hidden feelings and situations to each other

The situation was even self defense, they had lawyer connections, probably could have settled it in the police station, least she would have quit

If YR somehow becomes an actress I would crash out 🤣🤣

Second female leads have it worse than second male lead

I don’t understand why having complaints doesn’t mean you are not enjoying the ride, some people genuinely enjoyed it, and since it started going sideways for them near the end, so they would finish it

It’s like all these writers and directors just like pissing us off in 2025, I was expecting 1988 friendship and growth instead getting the rival troupe, I thought teaching was her dream, they could have made it that JH sponsors her

Now it feels she has hidden jealousy/resentment, not as a bad thing, a natural one, but still we didn’t sign up for rivals . I would have loved if JH helped her go to college by sponsoring her

It was good at first, but then after the timeskip everything went downhill. JP and YR are ending up together, no problem with that, but it’s how they did it, their close connection seems sudden because of the time skip plus there isn’t any flashbacks and how it could only have happened when she was out of the equation and it’s completely unrealistic how JH is still stuck on a boy when she was 18 when she has all the connections available

Why do you say she hasn’t matured? I don’t think we have seen enough to conclude that, all we have seen is someone who is excited to meet people from her past and who is avoiding someone from her past

No, she was distracted and you have to remember she is a girl with a lot of trauma, the kindness he showed her stuck to her, those old times were some of her happiest memories before she met her mum.
That why she went back to visit YR family, they all showed her kindness, she had almost never had a stable family
