Wow! the series keeps getting better! This whole FL past is ML future melt my brain little bit, but I am mainly going with it. The only thing I am not liking is Ina's line in the school. I really don't think there is a need for this kind of story. They should have just concentrated on much more mundane things. C'mon she is only 12.
How many men did FL sleep and date with for the sake of scamming them? Ugh, thinking about it only puts me off…
Personally I don't like disclaimers even for major things. Disclaimers are essentially spoilers and I find them very annoying. Different people find different things triggering. If dramas start to list eveything that people might find upsetting they will need 100 pages list.
I mean...Flower Knight was 12 episodes and it was perfect. Actually, Moving was ok when there was the kids' storyline…
I don't mind 12 episodes. In an ideal world, series shouldn't have a pre-determined number of episodes. Maybe I didn't express myself well, but my main worry is not being complete. If they wrap it well in 12 episodes then no complaint from me.
This drama is so good but people like bitching about the main female lead because she has bad intentions. Like,…
I agree that FL is intriguing and interesting and she will mostly likely change, which is always more fun when characters change through the drama, but what is that harm if people want to bitch about her ? :) Isn't this place meant for us to voice our thoughts? Also, you can still find her interesting and condem her actions. The two are not mutually exclusive.
After 3 episodes. The series continue to hold my attention. E3 was cool. I am really liking it. I can't say I am happy about Ina's ability though. I don't like this ability in a serious setting for dramatic, plotting and logical ( yes- even within supernatural/fantasy shows there is logic) reasons. I love it in a comedic settings (like SpyXFamily) though.
Watched the first two available episodes. I have now reached the point of saturation with superheros/superpower so even a major hit like "Moving" didn't grab my attention after 2-3 episodes because it looked more or less like an American show with Korean actors.
However, this one looks a bit different with a decent amount of unclarity, which I find a good thing. I am intriguied.
My only "negative" is the casting of the grandmother. I have seen this actress as a mother in "My Mister" and "Our Blues" and I thought she was fantastic! But, in both cases she was more like a "traditional" mother. I am finding it hard to adjust to seeing her with this phoney hair and more western clothes. I know this is on me, but I can't help it.
However, my biggest worry is that they don't wrap things up by the end seeing it only 12 episodes. I would be REALLY pissed off if this entire season end up just as a set up. I HATE HATE this model. If they do, I won't be watching more seasons even if I end up loving this one.
AND... QoT and Twinkling Watermelon really should've been nominated for AT LEAST best screenplay although i know…
Please don't misunderstand me. my comment is NOT about QoT. All I want to say is that popularity and quality are not the same thing. Sometimes a certain work has both, but not always. So, ratings shouldn't be a factor in choosing the winner.
I don't have strong opinion because I haven't watched enough 2023 shows.
I love Park Eunbin. She is in my top 5 Korean actresses, but I don't believe in the notion that an actor can make the drama. Of course actors are very important, but a great drama is a collaborative effort, and I would say the corner stone is actually the writing. All that to say, I am not that excited about this. I had enough of superheros. I understand Kdramas are relatively new to this genre, but from a selfish pov growing up on American TV, I have reached my limits with superheros. I can't take more. I find PEB shine most in character roles where there is little or no romance. Her best two roles imo were in Extraordinary Attorney Woo & Hot Stove League.
Someone told IU that pretending you're on heavy doses of Librium and never changing your expression is "acting."…
"Even a broken watch is right twice a day" :) I don't think IU is great actress (btw, I didn't know her before the series and I didn't become her fan even after it. I am just not into Kpop), but she was very good in this one. Her eyes were very expressive, and she managed to convey lots of emotions through them. I thought her monotonous expression was appropriate for her character. I would completely believe a person in her situation to be miserable all the time. LSK was the of course the better of the two, but I think she has done very well in this series.
Come back on May 8th to get an answer! P.S: Show is still in episode 4 and you are asking about cliffhanger! Uff!
Thank you for your reply. I wasn't aware that the show is still airing. I asked about cliffhangers, because this is the thing I hate most. Have a nice day.

I liked that joke towards the end of the episode ....
I enjoyed the leads very much, but nothing else
I can't say I am overjoyed by this runaway success, but I don't begrudge it either. I am happy for the actors, not so much for the writer.
It was fun watch tackling some serious issues. It lost some of its steam towards the end, but still enjoyable.
7.5/10

Personally, I found this particular joke distaseful.
Otherwise, it is one of my all times favourite dramas.
