I can't believe he killed his mom. Yeon Nam-Saeng character is bang on with the cruelty. The majority of the people tortured and killed in this drama were by him.
Why do Korean dramas do this to the viewers. I'm shipping Tae Kong Sil both with Joo Joong Won and Kang Woo. I didn't think I was going to like Tae Kong Sil & Kang Woo pair, but the last bit of episode 05 was heart warming. Then again Kang Woo and Tae Yi Ryeong work also.
It's getting better as each episode progresses. I love the sharp and crisp atmosphere to this drama. The characters are so strong and lethal. Episode 15 the ending in particular was smartly executed. I'm highly enjoying this!

I can never say enough about Jung Kyung Ho. He has such a huge part of making Heartless City a masterpiece. His acting is one of the best I have seen in a long time. His character is blissful. He portrayed his character so well and he brought his own element to the drama. Yes, he is smoking hot! He's one of those actors because his acting is so good he makes you fall in love with the character more then the actual actor himself. His voice, his presence, the sophistication, the emotions, and ease is such a pleasure to watch.

It all depends on your genre of liking. This drama is noir theme so it's very dark and complex. You have a hard-hitting plot with emotions that leave an impact. It's action packed. There is no cheesy or fluffy moments. If you want romance it's in here but it's not all about love. Characters are complicated yet intriguing. A cast that portray their characters so well and have depth. One of the best soundtracks are in this drama. It different from typical Korean dramas. Best drama of 2013!
There is, but it's not the focal point which kind of makes the drama awesome.

No, thank you for agreeing because like you said there's very few who differentiate between the two. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when you see something that has great potential and the writers have a vision and certain people can't see that it is disappointing. On a personal note Cruel City just defined what brilliance is and I wasn't going to let anything ruin my experience and I wanted and expected that sort of an ending and I loved it.
Let's take a moment to solely appreciate the soundtrack of this drama. From the instrumentals to the OST's it stayed true to the noir theme. It really added the the dark vibes to the scenes. I really appreciate this drama because I see the effort that brought in this different aura to Korean dramas.
