Some people complain that we complain about the series too much, or that we are overcomplicating things, overthinking things and that we should just watch the series and enjoy it (I tried and no, I couldn't enjoy it). Well, I don't think that seeing the problem and keeping quiet is a good option, it is a toxic series with many flaws (not only in the script) but in the idea they give of relationships; if a series with millions of viewers shows unhealthy relationships, I will complain and I will not keep quiet, because there are a million people (many of them young) who will take those relationships as a reference of what is "normal" in a couple relationship and therefore tolerable. I'm sorry for not wanting to close my eyes to the problems and accept a series with a lousy message just because I'm getting hours of fanservice as a bargaining chip.
Reading the comments I have had other doubts about the script; 1) How is it that Kuea is in a college career and his parents, who supposedly have him super controlled (his mother) does not know ? And how come his mother doesn't know he has a secret house ? Who pays for it ? 2) Kuea really doesn't know how to cut an egg ? He doesn't know the difference between broccoli and cauliflower and says it's because he doesn't know how to cook. Being rich doesn't mean you haven't seen food in your life. 3) The Gemini pub boss (can't remember the name) and Lian get along well ? I mean aren't they supposed to be enemies or something ? They compete with each other with their locals... 4) Why does Kuea behave (and get treated) like a child ? It makes the sex scenes (which are already ridiculous in this series) even more uncomfortable to watch. 5) Long etc.
Some people say they see no toxicity in the series and that there are other series, such as TharnType, which were not criticized. The thing is that after series like Bad Buddy (long live communication, thank you) or Not Me, the standard of a "good and healthy relationship" has been set very high and we don't feel like going back to the toxic relationships and silly misunderstandings of the old series. It's impossible for me to believe that overprotectiveness (or CONTROL) within a couple is healthy, or that miscommunication, mistrust or even fear of your partner, is "normal". Having insecurities is one thing and from my point of view, that's not what happens in this series. Kuea and Diao's characters are FEARFUL of their partners (as I said in another comment, Diao trembles when talking to Hia, he's afraid to do something and have him find out, their whole relationship is based on secrets). In fact, in one of the first chapters Diao said something along the lines of "I'm afraid of him because he doesn't scold me, but instead, he stays quiet and leaves" and that's psychological abuse. And so there are many other toxic things in these relationships, which are not limited to having insecurities.

Besides, I don't understand why they lie so much. Kuea has no reason to really lie, whether he is a ridiculous character is another matter. And Diao ? Diao lies even to go to the toilet and always talks to Hia (who he supposedly loves for some reason) with his voice shaking, I don't get it.
That wouldn't necessarily prove that Lian knows that Kuea is Kirin though, since Kuea doesn't know when Lian got…
I mean, Kuea woke up in his bed, he was so drunk that he must have imagined that someone had taken him there, and therefore seen everything he has in his house....
Am I the only one who doesn't understand the plot? At first Lian rejects Kuea by telling him he doesn't love him and then, it turns out that he "always secretly loved him" and when Kuea asks him again why he told him he didn't love him, Lian says he always had (I thought it was a very poor scene and scripting). I find the secondary couple ridiculous, especially Hia's toxicity and Diao's "fear" of him (let them not make stupid excuses that Hia cares about Diao, Diao is an adult and Hia is not his father). The third couple doesn't make sense either, Nuea starts out wanting to flirt with Kuea very insistently (they don't make it clear if it's because he likes him or for his money, but it gives the feeling that it's not for something good) but apparently, at the same time, he would like Syn even if he keeps flirting with Kuea.... Lastly, I stopped the series at episode 7 because all the kissing scenes and such that have happened so far have seemed unnecessary to me, none of the couples have advanced or grown enough for these scenes to be "special" or give me butterflies in my stomach. Didn't like the series.
I don't get why people disliked this show. Personally I liked it pretty much. The storyline was different, the acting (except some crying scenes) was good, the lead couple did well and the second couple was SO CUTE. If you've watched thai BLs before (I do speak as someone who has watched almost 100% of them) you should know that you can't expect American productions (so stop arguing about "quality"). There are worst shows that are getting a better rating than this one (Nitiman, Don't say no, etc.), with no plot and horrible acting. So if you are planning to watch this series, do it, you won't regret it as long as you watch it with no prejudicially mind.
I'm just starting this series and I can't stop thinking that Tian looks A LOT like Chanyeol from EXO, just me ??? Also I'm liking it, SPOILER ? : I thought it would be that kind of series where he gets the heart from the girl and then he magically transform into her ?? (as one story form History saga)... but it doesn't look like it's gonna be like that, so YAYY !
I can't explain how much I love this drama. I've watched tones of BLs from multiple countries but this one is the best so far ! I got goose bumps, it made me feel butterflies in the stomach, and took my breath away almost every scene (there is no innecessary scene in this series, everything is connected and you can't get bored). Everything is so realistic it made me remember about my first time falling in love. I can't remember the last time I felt butterflies with just a little touch of hands from the protagonists. I loved TharnType but I must be sincere and recognize that no bed scene can beat the emotion I feel when these two stare at each other. I really hope this series can get famous so thai industry can get the recognization it deserves !
