This was a fun article very enjoyable! It's funny I was just finishing Miss In Kiss and in all of the remakes of it the Kiss scene with the Umbrella always stands out! I loved seeing all of the different references to the drama's and the umbrella scene's brings back watching the drama's and watching the umbrella. Yep the Umbrella is own character just like the White Truck of Doom! Thank You for the article!
I like both of them and it sounds like a nice drama. Reading the cast I am also amazed the Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin are both being in a drama together, I think they are still dating !
The article was very good, I never knew that it was only in the 18 hundreds that people learned how they got pregnant and the graphs showing the age ranges was very interesting. So this article was very interesting to me, and thank you for pointing out the difference between Period Drama's and Historical drama's I didn't know how to tell before. I will admit I don't watch Historical/Period drama's that much because I get to lost in the way the people act and talk. I have only watched three drama's so far Sungkyunkwan Scandal which I thought was good but I didn't get a lot of the undertones of the story, Arang and the Magistrate which was also good, and 100 Days my prince which I loved. I don't think any of these are Historical I think they are Period drama's. I just started Secret Royal Inspector & Joy. I think the reason I stay away from Historical/Period drama's is all of the political stuff that goes on, especially the back stabbing and killing of people. Some day I may have to try one that is a Historical drama since there are so many.
Very good Article and I am the opposite now I know what to avoid LOL! I'm not good with to scary. But I do have to admit I am watching Hotel De Luna and I feel like this one is good on my level. It gives me enough of ghosts but not to scary that I can't sleep! Strangers from Hell I had to drop (Shivers) really that one is scary for multiple reason's. I have watched in your alternative Sell your Haunted house which was really good , and Come and Hug me and the villain in that also gave me the creeps! I have watched a couple of others that would be maybe thriller or ghosts that were also really good like The Village Achiara's Secret, Gap dong, Master Sun, Lovely Horribly, and Bride of the Century. But then again some of these have romance and comedy in them that would cause them not to be too scary :)
Enjoyed this, what a fun read, and I think you did really good with what they would be like on MDL! What a great idea this was, and must of taken a lot of time and effort! Thank you so much! While I was reading it I got to imagine the characters even the drama's I haven't watched!
Very enjoyable article! I have watched It's Okay thats love, Five Enough and Be Melodramtic and you nailed the characters so well and I loved all three couples! I will have to add the other two to my queue Rich Man Poor Woman and Age of Youth.
Thank you for the article, it was really good! I usually save these kind of drama's for around Halloween, and I have to watch scary types of drama's in the morning or during the day. I can't watch them at night since I am a scared y cat and if I watch anything a little strange I get nightmares. I watched the School Nurses files last year and there was something so strange about that drama that I just kept watching to figure out how it ended. Sell Your Haunted House I watched while it was airing because I love both Yong hwa and Jang Na Ra, I really loved Sell Your Haunted House. I am in the process of watching Hotel Del Luna, The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim, The Uncanny Counter and Mystic Pop bar. Love all 4 of them! To watch next year during Halloween I already have on my list The Witch's Diner, and The Ghost Detective, I'm going to have to add Handmade love to it as well.
Thanks for the write up, I started it last night and the first episode was cute! I did read some spoilers on the webtoon and reading this it looks like the drama maybe following it, but since i don't know the end of the drama or read the webtoon I don't know what will really happen. Which makes me want to watch it more! :)
I am not a big sports person but even watching movies the sports one's are the one's that get me the most. I loved Hot Stove League, Racket Boys, and Fight my way. I have not seen Run on yet. Some other drama like thumping spike I enjoyed but I don't think others did, To Beautiful You was also kinda sports themed, along with Oh My Venus it wasn't about sports but it did have the one guy learning to train to fight in it.
Thank You for the list adding Yeah thats how it is to my list. I love the long weekend drama's and am always trying to find a good one to watch.
Jdrama's are really hard to find, I have started to watch some of them more recently on Viki since they are starting to carry more of them. I will have to see if some of these are on it!
Thank you so much for this article! Thanks to you, I discovered another makjang! In terms of long Kdramas, I watched…
I love the long weekend drama's and started getting into the daily drama's as well. My Father is Strange and Five Children are some of my favorites. There are a few other long weekend drama's, if you didn't try them I could recommend to read the concept and try them if it sounds like something you would like. 1. Once Again, 2. You Smile (Smile You), 3. Shall we Live together (marry me now), 4. What's with this family (What happened to this family), 5. Your' the best Lee Soo Shin 6. You who rolled in unexpectedly (Unexpected You), The 5 I just listed I put them up with Five Children and my Father is Strange! The next ones I enjoyed 6 . Beautiful Love Wonderful Life, 7 Mother of Mine 8 My healing love, 9 Father I'll take care of you 10/11 Glorious days and My Golden Life I was enjoying both but I had to stop part way through because in each one one of the mothers was driving me nuts! 12 Never Twice (this wasn't a weekend drama but it had a lot of episodes and I enjoyed it. The three weekly one's I watched I also enjoyed 13 Melody of Love, 14 No Matter What, and 15 Be My Dream Family (which is still airing).
Note: Each user can vote 3 times, and only the top 40 voted dramas will be shown. BTW, if the drama that you want…
Thank you, I didn't really need to add any and I didn't know about the ranking of the votes, I guess when I selected them they were already in the right order :)
Everyone rates things differently I was rating everything high then read someone saying that only the exceptional should be high so I lowered some of mine, but that doesn't mean that I didn't love it. Looking at the above two of them were in the 8's Coffee Prince 8.3 and Be Melodramtic 8.5 I give these both higher scores because of the storylines, characters and the way the characters developed overtime. Also the friendships. I also choose Cunningly single lady 7.9 because that drama had so much heart to it, as the story unravels you find out what caused the issue between both the characters and some of it tore my heart out. There are others I would of loved to pick from the list since I think their score is also low, but at least if they aren't below a 7 which I am grateful for.
Very nice article I haven't watched any of these but Prison Playbook (WHICH I LOVED). I will have to add some of these to my huge list. There are others that come mind that may also give this feeling, and some have already been posted in the comments like 1988, Be Melodramatic, Oh My Venus, Never Twice, Thirty but Seventeen. I had to look at all that I have watched and some of these may also come to mind for "found family", like the 1st Coffee Prince, Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, You're Beautiful, School 2013, Shut up flower boy band, A gentleman's Dignity, It's Okay that's Love, Modern Farmer, Oh My Ghostess, Goblin, Because this is my first life, Waikiki, Wok of Love, Hospital Playlist, When Camilla Blooms. I know there are more but I think I should stop LOL!
Reply series are really amazing they are in my top drama's list (but I have a lot in my top drama lists :). I also enjoyed all of the school series, but as trunkenta18 did point out they are more on the heavy plot side and not as light hearted. I loved 2013 but that had school bullying, 2015 was more serious with a missing student and memory lose, I think 2017 may of been the lighter of the two. I don't think they are similar to the Reply Series but I enjoyed all three of school drama's that I watched.
Very interesting list, I will be adding some of the C-drama's to my list. I am surprised that the Korean "School" series none of them made it in the top 10. But maybe they didn't get good ratings on MDL. I already watched Weightlifting Fairy Kim Book Joo, Reply 1997, and Put your head on my shoulder which I enjoyed all three of them. :)
Jdrama's are really hard to find, I have started to watch some of them more recently on Viki since they are starting to carry more of them. I will have to see if some of these are on it!
