:) I always here people talk about PPL but I am usually to busy trying to read subtitles that a lot of them I miss. Except Subway it's not to hard to miss subway and the Domino's one in Hometown was fun! I think I saw a KFC the other day in one of the drama's and here I am thinking I have to run all over the place to find a Subway and KFC since ours are now gone in my town.
When watching Be Melodramatic that is where I saw the most PPL because they were trying to put them in! The one scene with the message chair saying they needed it and discussed how it should be put in and had them thinking about it, then said there we just added the it, had me laughing, then they were doing the water, and he tried to do the water again and the guy said that was enough.
Good Job and I am sure I will start noticing the PPL more that is brought to my attention!
Good Article and now I have some other drama's to check out. I loved You Drive Me Crazy. There are a few others that I enjoyed and think might fit this trope like Fight My Way, Reply 1994, 1997, 1988 , Hospital Playlist, Our Beloved Summer. Not sure if these could also be considered A little thing called first love, A love so Beautiful, also there are some that they were friends as children but drifted apart and years later meet again like She Was Pretty, 20th Century boy and girl, come and hug me, I miss you, (I know I am missing some others) :)
Sounds Cute and Hoping Disney+ will start showing these drama's in the US its kinda frustrating that they are getting these drama's but now showing them all over :(
Agree. Disney+ needs to give up on kdramas if they can't actually air them. I heard they will *finally* drop Snowdrop…
I hadn't thought of twitter, I've been wondering who do you contact from Disney + to actually show these shows in the US. I think they are missing out!
Kim Mi Kyung is a really good actress! I have enjoyed her in all of the drama's I have seen her in. I will make sure I keep a lookout for this since I really like her!
I am amazed at people that even try to do the challenge. I just clicked on the link for this year and it's seems like a lot of work to try and manage. Maybe if I did baby steps and mapped out what would go with each category, but I know myself I don't do go with challenges.
When I used to read I did book challenges and never made it, the last year I did it I marked one book and didn't even make that because I never finished the book I was reading LOL.
I do try and challenge myself each year with drama's by trying to watch at least one older drama, and one drama that I have on my list for a while that I haven't gotten to yet. So if watch the older drama an one on my list along with watching current drama's then I feel like I have accomplished something :)
Hopefully you do good on this year challenge and looking forward to finding out next year how you did!
There have been a few rare occasion that I have had SLS but not that often. I seem to root for the ML and FL lead. The few exceptions were Reply 1988, 1994, You're Beautiful that I wanted the FL to be with someone else :). Start up, School 2015 and the Best Hit I liked both the ML and SL so I would of been happy with either of them with the FL. Then there are drama's like True Beauty and Our Beloved Summer that I don't want the SL with the FL but I want them to be happy with someone else (That same goes for Start up, School 2015 and the Best Hit) I just wanted the SL to also be happy. So I guess even though I don't get a lot of SLS if I do I still want them to be happy at the end just with someone else :)
I got 3, I think it's because most of the drama's that the choice was I haven't watched :) I kept picking the drama I did watch from the list LOL. This was fun! And yes I think I need to add some of them to my list to watch.
I get so confused when drama's go over years :) Like Our Beloved Summer started 2021 but it finished in 2022 (but it is counting as 2021) and Uncanny Encounter started 2020 and finished in 2021 (but it is counting as 2021). I am never sure what makes a drama be considered for what year when it goes from one year to the next :)
I wished I could of picked more then 8 LOL. There were a few that I really enjoyed and wasn't sure which I should pick as 1st 2nd 3rd etc :)
Well you found it now, I am glad you appreciated it (you will find all the articles I am involved in here https://kisskh.at/profile/Shirioink/articles,…
I'll put it as a spoiler it is in the last episode when she the mother tells him that he no longer part of the family, and then after they have kids they are dropping them off at the gate, to see his Mom, and she comes out to get her grandchildren, she won't speak to either of them, and says to shut the gate real tight. It still makes me mad that she could never accept her daughter in-law. I don't know how I would feel if I had to drop my kids off to a mother in law that would of disowned her own son, and didn't like me.
Another great article! There are so many drama's that had me crying while watching! What makes me cry during them is usually when someone dies, and if someone is not being treated nice or mean things are being said to them, I end up tearing up.
In your article you hit the spots that had me also crying Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, Prison Playbook, Start-up, and MOTHER! The other's I haven't seen yet.
The first drama I ever cried while watching was Personal Taste when she was remembering her Mother. Some of the drama's listed below I bawled my eyes out while watching.
I hear your voice - When the mother was being killed Pinocchio - When the little boys were talking to the press I Miss You - When she was young how everyone was treating her because of her Father. You're the Best Lee Soo Shin - When the father died, and how some of the people where treating Lee Soo Shin. Good Doctor - The way they treated him. Sly and Single - When we find out about her losing the baby. What's With this Family - The father passing away Remember - What happened to his father! Just Between Lovers - What happened to them as children Come and Hug Me - What happened to them as children Still 17 - The accident and the things they both had gone through. Navillera - The way they treated Mr Sim at first when he wanted to learn how to do Ballet and when he was lost and didn't know where he was. Mother of Mine - When the Mother dies
I could continue writing about other drama's! I'm thinking I should make a list so I can remember the drama's that made me cry and which scenes :(
Move to Heaven is on my list to watch, but I already know I will cry while watching it so I am holding off for a little while longer.
GREAT Article don't know how I missed this! There is another thing that makes me mad in drama's are the way some characters are treated/or talked to especially if that character ends up being hurt or cries. This happens to me a lot when kids/older characters that are sweet or even someone really down on their luck and someone does something to them. I will get mad at the drama and say stop treating them that way or don't say that!
SLS I only had that for a few drama's Reply 1998 is the worst case I think out of all the drama's I watched. Startup I liked both of them so I would of been happy with either of them. You're Beautiful, Reply 1994, School 2015, and Hit the top were other's that I wished it was the SL but I enjoyed the drama's enough that I wasn't mad (maybe a little disappointed).
There was one character out of all characters and even to this day my blood is boiling . It was the Mother in Secret Garden! To this day I still remember the scene very vividly and still get MAD! The actress did such a good job at being so nasty that it has taken many years and multiple drama's before I even stopped hating her as soon as I saw her. The actress is Park Jun Keum and the last drama I watched that she was in, she finally got to play a very sweet lady and I loved her for it! She normally does play someone not so nice :)
Oh, I didn't watch Big cos I think that doesn't fit the article (I watched all these dramas/movie for writing…
It's been a while since I watched it, I remember not exactly understanding the end but they were both awake. What I remember was there was an accident and somehow a high school student ended up in an older man's body. It was fun watching Gong yoo being an adult but his character now has a younger man in his body. His facial expression and the way he acted is what made me enjoy it :)
Yes! I enjoy this them and I have only seen two and I loved both of them Secret Garden, and Spring turns to Spring! Now I have others to add to my watch list. Especially Daddy You, Daughter Me I love Jung So Min. I was wondering if Big fit this but maybe not since one was in a coma. That one was also good.
