Awesome review and I could not have said it better myself!
I agree...best Korean BL ever...so far. Let's hope this can set the bar that others hope to surpass. I would hope future K-BL directors to glean from this as to what is perfection in mature BL storytelling.
We need more mature KBLs... there's a place for the others as well, and I enjoy them, but being an older viewer I am hungry for more like TPP.
The chemistry between the actors is amazing. I realize that historically KBL and JBL production companies don't 'pair' up actors for repeat productions, but I would welcome another BL with these two actors. It wouldn't need to be a thriller, but could be another mature storyline. I think they have potential together or even apart...
This is definitely on my rewatch list.

First of, really love this series. But It got me wondering. Any ideas on what's going on and why we suddenly get…
I'm hoping it's the latter...that K BL is looking at all the popularity and revenue Th BL bringing in.
A lot of entertainment artists straddle Korea and Thailand for work in music and mainstream dramas...so hopefully we'll see BLs get better attention from Korea.

King is an important character, if they made a season 2 they would need king cause it's cho seung woo
Cho Seung-woo brought me to this series and I stayed because of the entire cast and story!
I hope there's a season 2

I just finished it and am planning to rewatch it!

I hope there's a season 2, but not holding my breath. Netflix has tricked me with this in the past.

And Gu Cheon must have infinity blood! 😭

I just finished this and I love it! I will definitely rewatch in the future.
This series was mature and sweet. I liked that we saw a relationship between two people who are unique in their own way and found each other, as well as accepted each other for who they are.
It's unfortunate that many complain they were too freaky or there wasn't enough nc. Seriously?
I feel this is the point...this couple are seen as outliers and they're ok with that because they have each other.
As they often spoke at the end of each episode during their journal entries... they felt so lucky that their partner didn't berate them when they were being different or imperfect.
This series has become a favorite for me.
Eurng often comments how his relationships ended because his partners found him too fat or too weird.
Intha said he had difficulty with partners because of his religiosity and coarse language.
But they both accepted each other because of the love they shared and their being on the same wavelength.
Totally committed and done perfectly!

Totally agree! This is why it's one of my favorites...the pace is perfect. I didn't have to fast-forward at all... which I sometimes do if the storyline is dragging or giving too much attention to side stories that really aren't critical to the main characters.

I just finished watching, and for anyone that cant stand the fl acts stupid around ml but likes the overall story…
I agree! I understand the voice bit because I tutor Chinese students at the university I teach at and encounter girls talking like that... it's become white noise to me now.

However as the series progressed it became better and totally laugh-out-loud!
My roommate would comment about hearing me laugh while watching it in my room. 😊

I wasn't thrilled with the last episode though...it felt like it was just thrown together. Also I wish more was given to the second couple on how their relationship evolved.

What I love about this drama is how it makes you feel at home. It's warm, comforting, and somehow makes you feel…
That's a much better description than mine! It is healing and you're analogy that "your heart feels lighter after every episode" is spot on!

WTF did I just watch?

Clueless is an understatement. I agree with those who mentioned they put too much in the few minutes of the final episode and left the second half of the final episode with pointless scenes from the beginning of the story that make no sense whatsoever.

They could have done it so differently with the last two episodes that would have worked! Meteor/comet danger changes (stupid storyline anyway), Dad could have come around and come out, second and third couples stories fleshed out, and ML having a happy ending.
Not sure why they had to convolute things with a ridiculous comet. Also, soooo many plot holes with things at the school, hints to organized crime with school officials, and the docks...plus too many others to mention.

There were human stories that would have made this much better overall, and would have had MUCH better final episodes.
Such a disappointment.

However, the main actors were very good and I hope this series helps their careers, and the ridiculousness is overlooked when casting directors look for talent.

Is it worth continuing? I dropped it after few ep.. but still comming back to this series in my mind..
I have rewatched this series a couple of times.
It's sweet, doesn't require a lot of energy to think through everything, and a break from daily stress.
It's fluffy and was made for high schoolers. On a C/television reddit thread a member said it was like a Saturday show geared towards young adult audiences.
So keep that in mind to help make your decision if you choose to go forward.

Thank you! I felt the same way. I agree with you regarding Itsuki's actions and lack of communication with Yuma…
Yeah... you're right, Itsuki needs to deal with his demons, and sadly his admitting he sees himself as a tropical fish belly up was disheartening. I, also, have had a journey that's been dark, so I guess I feel all the feels and wish for better. But everyone's story is different and not always with happy endings. It took a few decades for me as well, so I hope the Itsukis in the world can find light on their dark path, they deserve it.

Thank you! I felt the same way.
I agree with you regarding Itsuki's actions and lack of communication with Yuma which possibly could have helped with their relationship in the beginning.
Also, Itsuki saying he'll never reach out to Yuma but will be very lonely caused me to cry. Itsuki is hurting and obviously has a lot of unresolved issues. When he sees Yuma's family being the opposite, that just compounded the problem.
The story was good, and I feel very important for Japan viewers to watch.
I understand both sides of the sexual minority stance with Yuma's position to bring awareness, and Itsuki's position that he wants to be able to go about his day being open like heterosexuals are.
I'm queer so I get it... I feel like I have a foot in both camps.
Honestly, I actually feel like Yuma and Itsuki could have been successful in a relationship if they were more honest (Itsuki especially) and understanding (Yuma).
it will be interesting if we see a 'special episode'.
I know Japan historically doesn't do that but it would be nice to see how they were.
