Have just finished ep 4 and loving this so far. I read the comments and I hope the latter half doesn’t disappoint or annoy me too much. I usually find Zhou Yu Tong’s characters very cold and a bit emotionless, so I wasn’t a fan. However, I like her in this, at least for now.

I’m starting after Shen Li as well. I don’t usually watch historicals, but I’ll give this a try. I’ve seen so many comments that there’s a strong female lead.

I saw a few TikToks of him cooking and talking a bit in real life. His voice is similar to the voice actor. It only had vietnamese subtitles, so I don’t know what he was saying

I knew nothing about the leads or hype going into this and I absolutely love this show. It has mature characters, realistic romance, great action and solid storytelling

I could have misunderstood, but what I got was that she found out that Takashi was going to run away with a boy and I assume this is a major no in her book. Like Takashi being gay would tarnish the family name.
