On ep 18 and really like it so far, I legit marathoned the first 14 episodes then had withdrawals while awaiting an update. I wish this had subs, I feel like it'd be more popular kinda like Well Intended love was with international's fans if it was subbed. If you understand chinese and liked WIL I think you'd like this!

Hey Sorry for the late reply I just had time to go back and rewatch it so I could come respond to you. Now note, I know basic chinese- still a learner so a thing or two might differ in reality but here goes:
In 13 when they were with the tribe he said he heard them compliment her and said they said her eyes are as bright as the moon and her smile is as sweet as honey. She then asks if he agrees and that’s when he gives the best smile ever!
13 -When they were making the fire: He stated he’d make the fire and she asked if it would work and he said yes it’s basic survival skills. She brought out the fire stuff she had which shut him up and they both laughed.
In Ep 14 in the prison after discussing with the guy when she came out Xiao Qi asked if she now understands and she said yes. But wondered who’d be behind the plan to kill two of them and Xiao Qi said who’d have the power to send the folks after them. She said her uncle the emperor but refused to accept it. She talked about his love for her and how he’d never harm her. Xiao Qi explained that since he fell ill he has become..insane? There’s a word I’m seeking here but we’ll go with that. She then concluded others must have used her uncles name to stir up the pot and wondered who it was. Xiao Qi said he has lots of enemies and she said is he that important/famous? He explained not him but the military power he wields. She then said okay that makes sense but why do they want to kill me? Cue His wonderful laughter lol b’cos girl seriously? Anyway after he laughs she asks why he is laughing. He says he can only thank her dad who married her to him. Anyway he then teased her about them being the equivalent of two peas in a pod but used grasshopper on a vine and none of them can escape. She then smiled and teased him back that she ain’t the grasshopper he is the grasshopper and smiled walking away.
