Agreed. As an officer, you never drop your training. You are taught to contained and to deescalate a situation. Your pride or emotions can not get in the way of your duty. She was resolute and courageous to the very end. I think she displayed her emotions accordingly but I agreed that some scenes lasted a bit too long and the focus would have looked better if it was on her body than her face but then again as a viewer a felt it.

Sometimes this show is like walking in the dark. You don't know who's behind you or in front of you. You might hear sounds, footsteps, and you might be able to smell them but you won't see it coming till it's in front of you. But that's not true for every character. Some antagonists are easy to find and I think it's on purpose. You want the viewers engaging and having fun too. It's like throwing a dog a bone. Let us chew on it for a while and then throw us into a cage later.

You can tell by looking at Hongmei that she is a tomboy. She's not focus on outside appearances. She is focus on duty and solving crimes. Her look and attitude reflects that. We are shown her messy room, zero sense of decorations and her lack of basic skills when it comes to cutting an apple. She is not supposed to appear gentle with heavy makeup on in a police force while helping to build new China. I agree 💯 with you!

I doubt it too as it came in successions. This is too odd for it to downgrade that fast.

It's ashamed this drama is so fun to watch and really fun to talk about. It deserves a higher score.

Honestly, I would have given her keys to my car, my life savings, my cat, and my tree...wait I don't have a tree! But if I did I would have given it to her! It was too cute. 🤩

I honestly didn't think we would get some comedy moments. But I love everything so far about the show. She is selling her role really well and he's hilarious too. I like how they were bonding in that scene. Her eyes were the stars 🤩

It's hard to say who's a spy or not. Everyone is a suspicious until proven innocent. Captain Chen did protect them from sniper the 1st time he appeared but that could be a cover up. Because that cop also shielded Hongmei from the bomb blast however we know he has ulterior motive.

I also, think that these spies are using the love ones of these potential spy to force their hands.

I think that is why viewers are so addicted to the show. We also want to discover the secret for ourselves.

Lol, it's a fight in my heart too. It's early but PHM might be one of my fave if not fave from PXR. I can't wait to see her experiencing more and gaining more knowledge.

Even though she's a little rough around the edges and follow the rules almost to a T. She knows when she's wrong and is willing to accept and correct her mistake. Alongside her captain, I believe she will be outstanding in the future episodes.

So far we know shes got a good judgement and is suspicious of almost everyone, lol. But her execution is off. I think they will show her learning and adapting more.

Also, she's supposed to be a be stoic. That explains why at time she can be expressionless. In my opinion, I think she's playing a character that everyone can root for and once she gets used to trusting people she will show a bit softer side to Hongmei.

PXR is doing a great job playing a totally different character from all her other drama and I can see the different characteristics between them. I'm in love with Hongmei!!
