Aww, I'm really sorry that it made you feel this way. That was not the purpose of the quiz! :< The thing is, this…
Ah, now I understand what you meant! n__n I think that the world is full of second male leads who get pushed aside, intentionally or unintentionally. Maybe they are more sensitive, or empathetic, or selfless or not so eager to make a number of themselves. Or something else. And the arrogant male leads never really stop to listen to their stories, even when they should. It really takes courage to stay warm and kind, and true to yourself in this world sometimes! But really, being lovable and having a supporting fanbase is awesome! :D
It is so nice to hear that you are much better now! It really warms my heart even though I don't know you or your story.
And definitely, you have the chances!! :D I cheer for you, woop woop! (and for myself, haha XDD Let's be lovable together and win the struggles! ^^D <3)
Thank you everyone for lovely comments! I hope that you had fun making the quiz! It was fun to create it! And remember, this is just a playful quiz, it won't and even can't really tell anything about the real you! As humans we are mix of all these characters, far more complex and beautiful. Be proud of who you are and love life! <3 I hope all the best for everyone in their lives! Can you think of any other typical Asian drama characters? Are there differences between Korean, Japanese, Thai and Chinese dramas? Which characters are your favorite? What about least favorite?
And thank you for the someone who edited my English! (Ceki?) <3
(P.S. I got mostly E's, the Lovable Second Male Lead! ^^D I guess that result is quite popular, haha!)
I am the lovable second male lead and tbh nothing described my life more perfectly than this. it*s just so sad…
Aww, I'm really sorry that it made you feel this way. That was not the purpose of the quiz! :< The thing is, this is by no means a scientific quiz - just a fun way to play around with the Asian drama clichés! To be honest, I also got the Lovable Second Male Lead as my result. And my sister did as well. Of course this quiz doesn't tell anything about your real self, it's just made by me, as a joke, more than anything! :) I think that the Lovable Second Male Lead is the best character out of these all, actually! They treat others in humane way, with respect and love. That is something to be proud of! Trust me, you will succeed in your life, in the way you want, even though it feels horrible now. You will find your place. I myself have suffered for a long time of mental illness and that really has affected my life but now things have gotten so much better. :) And when I stopped believing in my future life, my mother always told me: "Don't worry about it. Life will carry you. Things will sort out, little by little." Many hugs to you! Just like they sing in Fruits Basket's theme song: "Even if today is painful, tomorrow it will be a warm memory". I send all my love for you! <3
Thank you for this article! I'm currently watching this and have been really enjoying it! There's something cozy and warm in J-dramas that I never kind find in K- och C-dramas. Even though Todome no Kiss is mainly mystery/suspense it certainly has that feel as well. And I really like the main characters and their actors - Yamazaki Kento does some very hilarious expressions! I'm really going to miss this drama. :)
I have a question hopefully one of you Kdrama fans can answer. I have noticed in Korean historicals that most…
I agree with you, it is always important to understand the history, even the dark side of it. That way we can understand something about the world we are living in now and hopefully also learn from it!

I don't know how much information I can give to you, as I'm not the expert in Korean history, but it is true that Korea had a very hierarchial society. You were born with a certain social status with certain rights and priviledges (if any) and it was almost impossible to rise to an higher social status. It is true that there was slavery in Korea and e.g. servants had little to no rights. The minor group of nobelity and royality enjoyed the priviledges of the life, the majority had to work hard to get food on the table. In many societies throughout the history servants have had poor living conditions. In Korea many servants were slaves. They were treated more as a property than actual human-beings and from that we can conclude that those who "owned" them (even if it is horrible to say that any human could be owned), the nobles, wouldn't treat them that well in general. But it is hard to say if all of the nobility and royalty was arrogant and treated their servants badly - for that I unfortunately don't have enough knowledge. I wish that there were those with a higher social status that, despite the hierarchial structure of the society, treated every human-being as an equal even though the society would say otherwise. Everyone is an individual after all and maybe there was someone (might be hopeful thinking) who challenged these views. As for Korean dramas, they never depict the history as it REALLY was but of course they do have truth in them as well. I have a feeling that the laws that are mentioned in this drama here and there were the actual laws from the past. Someone else can enlighten me/us for that matter. I agree, slavery isn't acceptable in any time or place.
I hope that I could answer even partly to your question. ^^ I'm not an expert and if anyone can correct me or have more information, please share your ideas!
