I remember reading so many comments about how shuang was the bad guy for sending the CP away a few episodes ago haha to me it was obvious this is who he really is

I’m really enjoying this show but I wish they did a better job explaining how his powers work it feels different in every episode

I found that interesting as well like is she a history buff on top of being a elite chef haha

This is not a show I was looking forward to at all but I’m so glad I started it anyway. fantastic first two episodes

Don’t get me wrong I love a strong bad ass female character and maybe she will become one in this I’m not very far into the show but I’ve got to say I’m really enjoying watching this lazy slacker who just wants to eat good food get good sleep and survive haha

I get that at this point in history women didn’t have any power or say in what they do and are often just used as tools to help further their family’s wealth with marriage but still we can’t get at least one good dad or just one that loves his family at all haha

I find it interesting that all of the dads in this show are awful people some worse then others but still they all suck

The only other show I’ve seen her in is put your head on my shoulder but she’s on another level here. Now I need to check out more of her work

Xing fei as su su is stealing the show for me and that’s saying a lot because everyone is great

This show should have been called cheating wives lol

Well I’m new to historical C dramas but hearing that it’s common for them to drop off in the second half has got me a little worried haha

Didn’t know I needed a slice of life drama about village politics and farming but here I am loving every second of it.

I’m not the biggest fan of fantasy shows that’s the only thing that’s been holding me back from watching it but I’ve heard it’s great so I’ll definitely start it soon

joy of life is pretty high on my list to watch so I’m glad to hear it’s only support characters

I’ve also seen this happen with some C dramas. as an American viewer this practice is insane to me I hate it.

I can’t watch anyone else play that character. brutal news for fans of the show

Maybe I’m in the minority but I really enjoyed how focused the first half was. just them figuring out their relationship while keeping secrets from each other. Ended up just being a average show for me after the second half but to each their own

I completely agree. this should have been around 25 episodes instead and finished soon after the big reveal because everything after that is disappointing

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show fall off harder then this one. the first half is damn near perfect then after the big reveal it goes downhill the writing feels all over the place and some episodes just seem like filler what a disappointment

I completely agree the secret identity trope is always fun at first but most shows keep it going for far to long and it becomes annoying.
