This show should have been called cheating wives lol

Well I’m new to historical C dramas but hearing that it’s common for them to drop off in the second half has got me a little worried haha

Didn’t know I needed a slice of life drama about village politics and farming but here I am loving every second of it.

I’m not the biggest fan of fantasy shows that’s the only thing that’s been holding me back from watching it but I’ve heard it’s great so I’ll definitely start it soon

joy of life is pretty high on my list to watch so I’m glad to hear it’s only support characters

I’ve also seen this happen with some C dramas. as an American viewer this practice is insane to me I hate it.

I can’t watch anyone else play that character. brutal news for fans of the show

Maybe I’m in the minority but I really enjoyed how focused the first half was. just them figuring out their relationship while keeping secrets from each other. Ended up just being a average show for me after the second half but to each their own

I completely agree. this should have been around 25 episodes instead and finished soon after the big reveal because everything after that is disappointing

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show fall off harder then this one. the first half is damn near perfect then after the big reveal it goes downhill the writing feels all over the place and some episodes just seem like filler what a disappointment

I completely agree the secret identity trope is always fun at first but most shows keep it going for far to long and it becomes annoying.

Yeah it was already hilarious when he thought she was cheating then it got even better when he thinks they have an open marriage. He was losing it lol

Same and the show had funny moments trough out but that episode was a full on comedy haha

Yes that And the whole conversation between the friend and Cheng Kai ran at the bar was killing me haha.

I haven’t finished it yet but this show is perfectly mixing the drama romance and surprisingly comedy episode 18 was hilarious.

I know this is based on a light novel so I should have expected the characters to be over the top but I was really hoping it would be a little more down to earth the ML is straight up a anime character with the way he acts and it’s taking me out of it a little.

I’m up to episode 14 and still loving it. This one definitely surprised me with how much I’m enjoying it.

It’s so refreshing watching a CDrama that actually has a little spice to it haha.

Okay yes it is cheesy but the writing and characters are so good it comes across as endearing and not cringe which is hard to do. Also I believe it’s implied at the beginning of episode 7 they did consummate the marriage in episode 6 then in episode 10 when they are reminiscing about that night again they get a little extra embarrassed about it.

I really like how they got the high school back story out of the way in one episode so we can get to the fun stuff
