I don't understand why this whole letter/gift thing is happening. So now he's decided eff my Dad? Should he not…
I completely get where you're coming from.
The reason for the letters is anonymity. Remember, his father threatened to cut him off if he was in contact with Fah. The concept is that with the anonymous letters (and the unhinged delivery system), none of it can be traced back to Phoon by either Fah or Rit (Phoon's father). And while it seems like it was just introduced at random, the estranged (for want of a better word) relationship between Phoon and his father *does* come up again if the series continues to follow the book; given that the author is credited in the title sequence as having written the screenplay, it seems highly likely.
This show isn’t just about tattoos, burgers, and BDSM—it’s a sneaky deep dive into all kinds of modern social…
nugget of sartorial joy:
fun fact - i have prosopagnosia, which is why i'll usually identify actors by voice or mannerism (and also why i notice the most obscure details). today's moment of things that aren't plot-relevant so of course i stared at them and laughed for a solid ten minutes: Style's shirt when they're poolside.
Director Jojo is the John Galliano of storytelling—bold, theatrical, and here to make statements.Bison and Kant…
queen... goddess... sartorialist extraordinaire (why don't you have a website or a patreon or something, jussayin)... i need your eyes because this has been driving me to distraction and stressing me (and my interns) all the way out for the last week.
Style - appropriately named, i won't be accepting debate on the topic - has the first babygirl stretch moment... and there's some sort of underpinning peeking through. did i abuse power and project the scene (and/or episode) using the HD projector in an event space? maybe. do i feel bad about the decision? absolutely not. i can write it off on my taxes. but even in full 1:1 scale, i cannot tell what is going on under that jersey. thoughts?
if you’re from usa they said the release date would be 21st
I was able to watch it on the gaming PC because that one syncs to the TV - my laptop does not; best part of being the boss is clients are used to my unhinged music and viewing habits...

That's weird... I do know that IQ has issues with one of my browsers (I wanna say Opera? But it also might be Chrome - I honestly don't recall offhand), so I end up refreshing like fifty-eleven times before it actually does what it's supposed to do. Or I just switch browsers.

I don't know you from the holes in my nose, but the way I quite literally shouted YES MA'AM at the phrase "the John Galliano of storytelling" - I hope both sides of the pillow are cool when you sleep at night.
Not quite 2 minutes into episode 1, and the fact the actors appear very barely legal (if that) is weird for a BL in general; I also have "based on a true story" BL trust issues.
I pull back and look at the blurb and nope. Hard pass. I was about to go blindly into the grown folk's version of this and just... No. This ain't it.
Maybe the ending will cut better. I thought the abrupt cut was odd. It felt a little unfinished somehow.
so i think i must have watched this from Oishiren's Patreon? that's the only place i haven't checked i think. or maybe DO? lemme look at both after work
