I've watched literally hundreds of Chinese dramas and lighter and princess is my favorite modern one by far. There really aren't many shows like it out there. One show that I think you may like if you happen to like the unpredictability of characters is Legally Romance. If we have similar taste, you'll like it I'm sure.

sometimes I really don't get avenue x when It comes to her taste. She has highly rated some of the most boring dramas I've seen and has lowly rated some of the best I've seen (such as lighter and princess).

exactly. When it comes to semi decent chinese dramas Im going to take what I can get. obviously this isnt the "perfect" xianxia ever but in comparison to some other xianxias I've seen, its not bad at all. Also I think it's way to early to tell if it's a bad show. Let's wait to see where the plot takes us. I think the community is a little too picky when it comes to Chinese dramas considering how many of them are so bad.

for those of you that have read the book can you spoil these questions for me? What's Xiumings deal? Is he evil/become evil? Does he ever get with the FL in any of the lives? I'm only on EP 5 and he's annoying the shit out of me. It feels like he has a selfish motive. Also can someone lay out the seven lives of love for me because this current life is taking up quite a lot of time and I don't know when the other are gonna be playing out or even have time to. please enlighten me 🙏
