ML is too sexy...lol

FL who appears fragile on the outside but is anything but weak. Lu Zhi Ling is blind, the lone survivor of a fallen family, pregnant, and surrounded by people willing to plot against her. Yet instead of waiting for someone to rescue her, she learns how to survive in the world she has been thrown into.

What I liked about Zhi Ling is that her blindness never defines her entire character. She is observant in ways others underestimate, intelligent, calculating when necessary, and gentle when gentleness works better than force. She knows she needs protection for herself and, more importantly, for her unborn child.

Then there is Bo Wang—the dangerous, unpredictable “wild son” of a powerful family. These two couldn't appear more different. His darkness and aggression contrast with her quiet nature, yet that difference is exactly what makes their relationship interesting.

Zhi Ling initially has her own reasons for getting close to him. She needs to strengthen his position so that he will eventually be powerful enough to protect her child. But somewhere between strategy, survival, protection, and dependence, their relationship becomes more complicated.

I especially enjoyed watching a woman everyone could easily underestimate quietly influence the man everyone else fears. ❤️

She may not be able to see Bo Wang with her eyes, but she gradually understands parts of him that others never bother looking for.

She needed his strength to survive, while he needed her to discover that strength isn't the same thing as having a heart.
