The song for ep 5 made me cry. The issue discussed was really relatable. I am a Business Admin grad because liberal arts couldnât earn a living. Until today, a tinge of regret lives in my heart.
Khun and Phu were probably the most wholesome characters. I loved how the 2 actors were paired together and the chemistry was great. Guy and Papang are 2 great actors but unfortunately they never seem to get any lead roles. Would love to see more of them together.
Well, that was awful. But I'll miss it. Especially Khom and Danai, the actors for either of whom would have been…
Agree that Danai would have been a better Kamol, he looks 36 to say the least. I think Danil could be Danai instead, and Kamol should have been casted as Danil. If it were up to me, I switch the roles like this.
Was planning on starting this. I saw that only the director cut is free to watch on WeTV. Whatâs the difference between the directorâs cut and the full ep?
The lead up to the ending was just dumb. In this day and age it is soooooo easy to track down people if you really…
Exactly, all the infuriating scenes are just due to lazy writing. For instance, Why does the chief listen to sincere? How hard is it to write a 2 minute introduction scene where Sincere is introduced as (an example) the son of some wealthy noble who supplies pigs or whatever to the village.
Or another example, why Fah ran to get the walkie talkie, a 30 secs scene of Mesa trying his 3 phones and saying there is no signal due to the rain would have made the scene logical immediately.
But no, there was not enough time to do this, but we can get a few mins scene of Dao being sick and Kleun taking care of him.
O.K. Final review. This wasn't New's best work as a director, but I'm chalking it up to the very tired source…
I am more of the opinion that it was poor execution rather than overused source material. People will be ok with predictable but logical plots. But this was predictable, we knew how it was going to end, but the way the story was told was horrible. There were too many plot holes, and this is why it was disappointing.
It was an okay ending. I only have a problem with Fah never apologizing for ghosting Prince while he was sick…
Yes it was just lazy writing, felt like the team just wanted to get this project over and done with. So many loose ends and plot holes. Tbh, in this day and age, do we really need the phone number? Especially in Thailand, wouldnât Prince just send Fah a Line message instead? Or canât he reach out via Facebook?
LMAO, Yes! To all of that. Not sure I have anything to add except that ep 7's scene of Fah carrrying poor, sick…
Yes I feel the same too! The thing that really got to me was the horribly lazy writing. Like the writers needed to create a problem so they just wrote it in, ignoring whatever that happened before. Eg. walkie talkie is used to make contact when previously Mek could call Dao, if it was due to the rain, then explain it. In this case, my guess is that Fah is so busy with work that he doesnât pick up princeâs call, but canât he call back, is there no missed call function? I am ok with inferring and deriving information from a series, but not when the entire show requires me to infer and explain what is going on. Am I watching a recap instead? Maybe if they do not include all the pointless Dao and Kleun scenes, they will have more time to explain everything.
Awww cute flash back, the omelette scene got me feeling warm and fuzzy, reminded me when I first started watching this and thought this was going to be a good series.
Ugh hi Sincere, itâs going to get worse. I can feel it.
OMG we are about 5 mins in and I am so done with how lazy the writing is to create the âconflictâ. When is malaria an acceptable reason to end a relationship?! How did we even get here?!
So Sincere says not to tell which hospital Prince is in and Fah just goes âok, Iâll go home thenâ. Seriously, you canât do anything else? Ffs, you know where Princeâs house is, go ask his mum which freaking hospital is he in.
Ok, back home with Dao and Kleun, even now when they have a legit reason to appear, I get annoyed when I see them.
Wow did Fah just tell Dao and Kleun that the relationship didnât work out?! What was the reason? Malaria?!
I get it, the intention is to say the nature of Fahâs job will result in him having to prioritise his patient over his partner at times. And Fah is ghosting Prince because of some noble reason that he is not able to put Prince as number 1 like Sincere is. But which part of the writing actually conveyed this message? That was some high level inference skill on my part, not what I would like to be doing on a Friday night but well done me.
Ah yes we get it, they will just be so close but so far, they will just keep missing each other. Ok we get it, itâs enough. Honestly, itâs getting pointless, you might as well put some Oishii Honey Lemon in the vending machine for product placement.
Back in the mountains, ooh I like that double sided drawing. Awww moment. Ah yes, wise words from Yayah again, but not enough for Fah to get his act together. So done at this point.
Why does Sincere keep popping up everywhere like that?! Omg that was annoying, and is this the attempt of his redemption? OH now Fah is ok to look for Prince?!
Germany?! Why Germany? Oh gosh, is there enough time for a searching aimlessly in Germany scene?!
Oh cheerleading, Prince looks like he is in the wrong uniform. That doesnât look like Germany? Hmmm ah thereâs the Oiishi Honey Lemon.
And Fah dramatic appearance, whatâs with all the weird giggling and swooning by the random people in the background?! The announcement just asked for Prince and nothing else.
Right, he is not in Germany, whew would be so lame if he was. âBe your boyfriend?!â Seriously you ghosted Prince like forever and that is the first thing you say? Have some backbone, Prince, walk away.
Of course he doesnât, and everything works out. Well the conflict was pretty imaginary anyway. Ughhhh the people in the background need to get a life and stop with the swooning and shrieking sounds. Seriously who does that?!
Back to the mountains again, oh Dao and Kleun are coming too. Pointless scene coming up soon, I can smell it. But for now, awww heartwarming reunion scene with the kids.
And I was right, pointless Dao and Kleun scene again. Last I checked, Star in my mind was over, like 2 months ago. And, OMG did you both get the exact same necklace that Fah and Prince have. Like you donât think itâs weird? I get that it is the village specialty, but you know what it symbolises for Fah and Prince, so why will you get the same one?!
Ok Himalayas reference again, thatâs sweet. Oh cute way to refer the the title of the series âkuafah khong phomâ (my kuafah). 10 points to Gryffindor.
And we end with a kiss, giving the a tale of a thousand stars vibes, but like a cheap knockoff version.
And we are done. I guess Iâm a little disappointed because the series started with so much promise, but turned out so meh. Itâs not that I donât appreciate simple plots, but in this case it just felt like it was not well thought out.
The best part of the series, imo, is the OST by Louis.
If you're referring to the last choice in ep 7, it's not as cut and dry as you think. As a doctor he swore an…
Yes, thatâs what I think so. If Prince dumps Fah just because Fah chose not to let the villagers die, then he is not a good person as well. Anyway, just another random thought, why didnât Fah just ask JJ to go the hospital with Prince and Sincere?
How many times must Fah express his feelings, isnât it clear enough? What is Prince expecting?! A Disney musical and then the whole village to burst into song together?
If Fah canât say it, surely Prince can bring it up and clear the air. Why must he act like some dainty character from some ancient royal family? Is it because he is descended from ancient royalty?
Ah that necklace is definitely going to be on GMM store. They better moonbathe that necklace if they want me to buy it.
Omg if my date threw me in the water when I am dressed like that, right at the start of the date. The date will be over right then.
And they are all dry again, not a hair out of place.
Wow that raw beef salad must be rancid or the chef added poison? The stomachache came immediately, obviously a murder attempt.
Fah calls Dao in Bangkok every night and itâs ok, but has to use a walkie talkie out of the sudden? I thought Mesa has 3 phones?! Even that Kitty could call them, and now all the phones doesnât work?
No cars in the village, you mean not a single other person has a motorcycle instead? So everyone walks or do not go to the city? Wait, there was a bicycle, they used it for their date earlier!
Kleun and Dao now?! Whattttt? Did the editing team make a mistake? And whatâs wrong with this couple, why does Dao need to behave like this? What are you, 13?
How is this Fahâs fault? Did he bite Prince? Is Sincere high? What is his logic or thought process? Is there something wrong with him or did he eat the raw beef salad too?
Why is it such a tragic choice to choose to save the villagerâs life or to stay with Prince? What is the issue? Am I missing something?
Yes timing was terrible... if they really wanted to include this snippets they should add them at the end and…
Great idea, those KleunDao scenes can be those post credits scenes. Every week they just show up for no reason and derail the entire story. Seriously, I wonder if the editing team were coerced to include those scenes or what. No one in the right mind will think that those scenes fit in anywhere in the entire episode.
I like that the principal who is the âantagonistâ is reasonable, tbh I donât even think she hates the music club or Gun.
Or another example, why Fah ran to get the walkie talkie, a 30 secs scene of Mesa trying his 3 phones and saying there is no signal due to the rain would have made the scene logical immediately.
