What is it with these recent jdramas that revolve around cooking... they've been so good. I've never been that much of a fan of jdramas, but She Loves to Cook and this are great!
Really enjoying this drama. If anything, I just wished we got to see more of the main lead's romance. I definitely understand that they don't want to go overboard with it (to keep the series nice and subtle), but seeing them overcome these hardships is kind of "eh." I want them to make me care about their relationship more. That's all.
Ending was good and I'm satisfied with the drama overall, but I will say it could have been slightly better if it was longer. I'm not saying it should have been your typical 16 episodes (an hour each) drama, but maybe something closer to Move to Heaven. It just needed a little bit more time to breathe. But yeah, this was a vey cute and endearing series.
Netflix really said "let's license everything Song Kang is in." But yeah, regarding the actual episode, I thought…
Also, I'm thinking that Sol might be gay and if she is, I really hope they give her little subplot justice. Would love to see more LGBTQ+ characters that are more than just an accessory.
Netflix really said "let's license everything Song Kang is in." But yeah, regarding the actual episode, I thought the writing was pretty good. But I thought FL was going to be more cynical about love than what she's been portrayed as so far. I'm really not looking forward to how their relationship progresses, but so far so good.
This week's episodes were pretty good. Really liked seeing them hook up. Said my loudest "ayooo" when they didn't immediately cut to the morning after they started kissing and she got on top of him. Sucks we had to end this week on a downer though, but there is one left! Wonder if the last episode is going to be about the average length, or if they are going to make it much longer since it's the last one and there's a lot to cover.
Really liked this week's episodes. Also love how everyone is now referring to Unit 705 as Samantha and that the ladies from the Women Association aren't uncomfortable around them anymore. I had the biggest smile on my face when the main lady was wondering if Samantha had a fun night at the end of yesterday's episode.
I was going to leave a comment yesterday because episode 5 made me feel more confident about this drama, but I'm…
Also, I can't be the only who started punching air when Hwi-Oh called Unit 705 "Samantha." Holy shit, I was losing it. Most dramas would do the bare minimum, but they really went all in. Hwi-Oh not only calls Unit 705 what they want to be called (and feels comfortable with), but he also encourages others to do the same. He understands the shit they have to go through. And I love how he wasn't bothered at all when they locked arms together. God, this alone made my fucking day.
I was going to leave a comment yesterday because episode 5 made me feel more confident about this drama, but I'm glad I decided to wait. Today's episode was fucking great. Things are finally starting to pick up and I love how it's developing the characters relationships/dynamics, especially within the time it has.
I really like that the dramas streaming on Netflix are playing around with the number and length of the episodes,…
Also, today's episode made me feel so sorry for the tenant that was caught by the women during the night. I'm glad that the scene wasn't played off to be comedic though, the discomfort and awkwardness that some of the characters displayed was great. I hope we get to see more of them and that the other people come to accept them.
I really like that the dramas streaming on Netflix are playing around with the number and length of the episodes, making them more consumable/bingeable. That being said, I'm kind of sad that this series is so short (in both of those regards) because the premise is fun and different, but these episodes have left me somewhat underwhelmed. I wish there was more I could grab on to. Hopefully the next batch of episodes are better.
I don't think I would agree with them just throwing in Alzheimer's just from the drama! For me they gave hints…
I'm not saying that it was randomly thrown in there, I saw the signs too, they're not that subtle, all I'm trying to say is that it was an unnecessary plot point that took time away from the series. Even if it wasn't included, the message this drama wanted to put out there could have been conveyed, which I know because of how strong the beginning was.
If they would have incorporated it better, then maybe I would have been okay with it, but personally, the way Alzheimer's was used in this drama felt like the same way misunderstandings are used in romance series. They push and pull characters, and at the end, none of it really mattered. After Deok Chul's symptoms are more apparent, it felt like the show was just going in circles. The people close to him wanted to help him accomplish his dreams as quickly as possible, and then they didn't because it would accelerate his dementia. Deok Chul wanted to reach his goal as quickly as possible, and then he didn't. Just felt like a lot of pandering.
Am I the only one that doesn't hold Lost and Found all that highly? I think it's a nice episode, but it's quite predictable and less interesting in terms of direction.
Started off really strong and then at some point it was just "okay". I really liked the beginning because of how fucking relatable it was and how genuine it all felt, but then they decided do the whole Alzheimer's thing. To me, it simply felt like something that was added for more drama. I enjoyed it a lot more when it was about family dynamics and following your dreams. The performances remained very consistent, I just wished this drama, in general, did too.
Genuinely surprised that a lot of people didn't like this season, or that they believe it ruined the series. I actually liked it a lot, probably more than season one. While the first season does have a lot of stand-out episodes, I don't think it had the impact this season had, especially when talking about episodes 3, 4, and 5. Obviously you can disagree with me on this, you can hold the first season higher than this one, but I don't think this season was as horrible as others make it out to be. If anything, the only gripe I had with this season was Yuri's execution (spoilers ahead, I guess). I like the fact that she is an entity that simply wants revenge, but she didn't feel much different from Nanno until the very end. I just wished she intervened more and was a little more threatening so it could be apparent why this season is such a bloody mess. Anyway, I'm looking forward for another season.
