The ending is messed up because I think it was supposed to be a sad or open ending but then the TV channel wanted this to have a happy ending. But I guess not enough footage for this so they made some weird weird editing decisions.
I would say the ending is confusing. Not good, not bad. If you check recent discussions, then there's a user who's making her own edit version. She also re-edited the last 5-6 episodes when the series ended. I have not watched it myself yet, but apparently, it's much better than the original last 5-6 episodes.

Yup, they have had several cute scenes together before. Like there's a hilarious one where the female lead is trying to seduce him and some flirting scenes. And more.
It takes time because the female lead had misunderstood that ML betrayed and killed her. And she's really stubborn about her revenge for a while. Even though she doesn't want to kill him anymore, it's still really hard to admit that she has feelings for him. Because her first love/crush hurt her really badly and she doesn't really trust people much anymore. and doesn't believe in love. And also because she's not in her original body at that time. So she's convinced that MQ loves only her body and pretty face she "borrowed".

If you like love/hate and slow burn romance then give it a try. Strongest point in this drama is romance.
