Title Lost Romance
Glad that you tried it yourself. I Just watched the first episode and I like it, even if it is slow. But I will…
Ohh I haven't listened to the OST of Behind Your Smile in a while, but thanks to you, I'm re-listening to it right now and it's still as great as I remembered it to be! And yes, Marcus Chang really stole the show and saved that drama for me. Honestly, I'm still checking his page from time to time, eagerly awaiting a new drama from him ^^

+ Main couple's chemistry is just fire!
+ FZX's acting (that interrogation scene, I'm still speechless)
+ Lots of suspense and twists: I never got bored
+ Couple working together without many misunderstandings or a long break up & both being equally important in moving their plans forward and helping each other out of different dangerous situations
+ Other female side characters: also quite head-strong, influential and important for the plot
+ Love scenes/kisses: there weren't many but the few were beautiful and even more meaningful bcs of it
+ OST: yes maybe a bit overdramatic like some criticized, but it added a lot of drive and emotion to the scenes. Especially, the English song played during the interrogation and the love scene was such a great choice!!
+/- Funny scenes: Good comic relief in-between all the suspense, but sometimes I found them too over-the-top and the contrast to the rest kinda jarring.
+/- Ending: I wished it was a bit more realistic
- OST/Sounds being too loud compared to the dialogue
- Slowmotion being overused (but either I got used to it or it gets less in the later eps)

Agreed! I was shocked when he apologized for not finding out the truth earlier, like since when was that his fault?…
Ah, I see. I've only started to watch more mini dramas recently, but tbh a lot of them are pretty forgettable 🤣🤣 but the upside is that you don't have to commit too much of your time, like with full-length ones, especially if it's more of a frustrating watch.
And to be completely honest, I haven't enjoyed any mini as much as those with DGZ.🤭
Also, I haven't watched any drama of CFT without him yet, bcs I'm scared I won't like the chemistry. But if you say she can make it work with anyone, let me check her other dramas out. Thanks for the tip! <3

Agreed! I was shocked when he apologized for not finding out the truth earlier, like since when was that his fault?…
"Downloaded from Adobe Stock" hahaha exactly 😂😂
Especially since I've been noticing more and more mini dramas using the same weird "music", if you can even call it that. It sounds like they all got a discount on a group order of the same music/sound effects and wanted to make sure they use every single one of them 😂

You're right about the makeup and blood, but it just looking bad would be one thing. I can ignore that if I try hard enough (or even easily if DGZ is in the scene 😂)...but wounds just appearing and disappearing for no apparent reason makes me doubt myself and question whether I missed out on important parts of the story... *sigh*
....pls don't mention Maid's Revenge or I'm gonna cry again.😭😭 I'm still not over the fact that they just decided to give the ML here the same name as the new recruit that appears at the end of Maid's revenge😭

Title Rainkissed Fate Spoiler
What I liked:+++ I loved this role for DGZ. ML is still a badass fighter as his usual roles but he was so adorably…
Examples for the make up inconsistencies that made me wonder if I missed sth, but I still couldn't find any explanation when I rewatched the precious scenes. Kinda confusing and distracting.

1. Ep. 6/7, how come the lipstick mark on his shoulder magically disappeared and suddenly was no issue and no topic of discussion anymore?
2. Ep 22, FL suddenly has a wound on her forehead which she didn't have in the scene before? Where did that come from? Why doesn't the ML ask what happened?
3. Ep. 27 ML has wounds on his face from fighting to secure the bone marrow match for the son. FL and the son get abducted probably one day later (bcs it was said they should come to the hospital "tomorrow"). When he comes to rescue them it's night, so maybe overall 1,5 days later and no hint of those injuries on his face is to be seen.

What I liked:
+++ I loved this role for DGZ. ML is still a badass fighter as his usual roles but he was so adorably awkward and shy in the romantic scenes at the beginning. And finally a role in which he can smile more often!! :)) Later he turned into his usual dominant character, which isn't bad either, but the first eps were just gold!

+++ CFT's acting!! I feel like DGZ always gets most of the praise and of course his acting is great, but this time there were a few scenes in which it was CFT's acting that really touched me and made me tear up. And together they are everything of course *-*

++ The beautiful OST and them using that one song from "Forever Love". No wonder it sounded familiar and fits them so well *-*

+ The village setting in the beginning, which gave me "rainforest passions" vibes <3

Kinda in-between:
+/- Many misunderstandings, but compared to other dramas they were resolved fairly quickly or rather ML and FL never completely lost faith in each other. There were a few times when they at least didn't just believe the words of a 3rd party.
Nevertheless, I just wished she told him the whole truth earlier.... like come on, you already knew he isn't that bad of a guy... How can he even act right, if you don't tell him whats going on. And why is he the one apologizing in the end and she isn't even comforting him bcs it just wasn't his fault?? smh

What bothered me:
- The son's sickness being the most important and urgent thing at the start and then suddenly not playing a role anymore for more than half of the drama.

- The music/sounds to enhance the funny scenes in the first eps were a bit too much, let the scene and dialogue speak for itself and don't turn it into a skit.

- Inconsistencies of connected scenes/eps. wrt the (wound) makeup (for examples see reply with spoiler tag)

Can some one help me with the link of the song when ML was given the truth poison please??I am desperately searching…
Hi :) I know very late reply, but I just finished watching and also fell in love with that song, especially when they used it during the love scene ❤️
In case you're still interested and haven't found it yet, I think it's "Acceptance" by Frankie Orella.

I enjoyed it but I kept thinking something's missing or off and I can't really pinpoint what it is. Also, what kind of ending was that? And the FL forgiving the villain on top of everything just really ruined the ending for me.🤦‍♀️
I only recommend this if you love Dai Gao Zheng and can focus only on him while ignoring the rest. Then it's great, as always 😂 I also loved that they kept his voice and let him dub himself this time👍

Title Are You Human? Spoiler
So many viewers didn't understand the ending of this drama. While the 3 men having conversation as they enjoy watching…
I agree with the replies above me. She definitely ends up with android Nam Shin.

1. I blieve it's not Ji who says "I couldn’t have found him if it weren’t for you guys." It's David. Ji only says "It was thanks to Shin’s money and power." So he is talking about Shin to David. Even if human Shin is next to them, totally natural to talk in third person about him if he isn't adressed.
Also, in Korean they often call each other (and sometimes even themselves) by their name even if directly talking to each other, so if there is a fault at all, I'd blame that it's hard to translate.
2. Human Shin might have used money and power for his needs before. But I would't say he "enjoyed" it. He was just bitter and used it for revenge. He never had any ambition in the company either. That's also why he kept running away and why his grandpa despised him.
3. The fact that David says Dr. Oh proofs even more that it's the human Shin because A he isn't close to human Nam Shin and B he only called her "your mom" when talking to his son, i.e. the android Shin.
4. That most of Nam Shin's abilities are gone and he is closer to human will probably just mean he isn't as "invincible" anymore or doesn't have as many functions, the sole reason being that David's skills are lacking copared to Dr. Oh's. He could only fix the basic functions.

It's clear that she ends up with robot Nam Shin. The only thing that isn't explained is why android Nam Shin is able to shed tears. We simply don't know if David added that crying ability or if it had always been there but Nam Shin just wasn't able to use it. So noone can say whether he now really "feels" emotions.

Above all, I love that this drama makes you question what it means to be human.
I didn't expect to get so emotionally attached to a robot and I cried more than I have in many other dramas for humans. I think the OST which includes some true gems also helped to create that emotional connection and to pull me into the scenes.

But on the flipside, I haven't hated any drama character this frking much in a long while, gotta give human Shin (and the uncle) that. But I was so furious, I felt like punching a wall a few times. At least there was Ji Young Hoon who unexpectedly turned into my favorite character.

Overall, all the twists and turns kept the story interesting throughout and it had a very emotional climax and ending, but it dragged a little in the middle and the number of times they used someone overhearing sth they shouldn't have as a means to move the plot forward was a bit too high. Like not even being hacked or sth., just being overheard. Everyone is already plotting and suspicious of each other but people keep forgetting to only reveal secret information when they're sure noone else is around.

I agree, The city arc and the amnesia trope made thing less interesting (non believable for me). Did she forget…
I still want to watch all DGZ dramas while waiting for those with CFT. But thanks for the heads-up anyway. Now I at least know already what to expect for "she rides the wind" ^^

Title Rainforest Passions Spoiler
I agree, The city arc and the amnesia trope made thing less interesting (non believable for me). Did she forget…
You're right, maybe she was completely lying about the amnesia (but then she wouldn't have taken the medicine SML gave her, right?)
I actually thought for a split second she will explain everything, when ML asked why she didn't say that she remembered when they first met in the city again, bcs if she had he wouldn't have acted so aggressively towards her (tbh that was also a bs excuse but nevermind). But her reply made no sense, bcs she continued with "you just felt familiar, dangerous but safe, but I didn't really remember" or sth. Like pls choose one, so we can understand if you had a plan to lie about the fact that you regained your memory. It's not even that I hate amnesia plots in general, but it was so badly executed that you just couldn't follow when she got which memories back.

And yes, totally agree. Wherever they filmed (I have no idea^^) the setting and allso the fitting styling was such a breath of fresh air! But they really lost that unique backstory when they moved to the city.

And true, "Maid's revenge" and also "Forever Love" were better. Not only storywise, but DGZ could show more different expressions in those dramas. I don't remember seeing his full smile here once bcs the happy scenes were so limited. Also, DGZ's chemistry with Chen Fang Tong is unmatched. I'm still eagerly waiting for their 3rd drama together and I heard there will even be a 4th! Can't wait :D

Started for Dai Gao Zheng and the interesting forest setting, finished only for Dai Gao Zheng.
I dislike random timeskips... and it started going downhill when they moved to the city setting.
The (half-)amnesia (or whatever that "I tried hard not thinking about you, but I have memory loss" blabbering was) was one troupe too much. (Wondering why it's not in the tags... at least I would have been warned.)
But ultimately, DGZ was great (as always), chemistry was decent though I have seen better, action scenes were great.
I just feel a little bit more disappointed than with other mini dramas bcs they usually don't even manage to get your hopes up in the first place. So might be judging this harsher bcs the start was really great.

Oh, really. I didn't pay attention, it's weird but cute in the same time, like reincarnation, plus I think it's…
I bet I wouldn't have remembered either, if I hadn't just finished "Maid's revenge" before I came here to look for more of their work. ^^
And yes, I had the exact same reaction. First, I found it weird but after thinking about it a bit I like that they use subtle ways to connect different dramas of the same CP even if it's not a real sequel (I came across this for another CP and I really enjoyed those little easter eggs). But anyways, fingers crossed for a HE in this drama!

The scenes of your trap? Yes, I noticed that they were playing all those scenes during almost all the drama, whene…
I just finished "Maid's revenge"..... still crying 😭😭😭
I might have to rewatch or at least skip through Forever Love again to heal my broken heart. I knew it was coming but I somehow hoped it wouldn't hurt this bad. Or they both die, idk why but maybe that would be less painful than one having to stay behind alone.

But you're so right, it was so worth watching.
"longing glares and unstoppable desire" - This 100%!!
It leaves the biggest lasting impression exactly because of their glares that tell more than a thousand words.

Now I'm impatiently waiting for their 3rd drama together with the same director "Jin Sheng Yu Ni":
https://kisskh.at/768347-jin-sheng-yu-ni
I desperately hope it's gonna be just as good and a happy ending so I can leave this pairing with a happy heart. But one thing is for sure, their chemistry will always be captivating!
There are almost no infos out yet, but I noticed they named the new ML He Yu Chen - so the same as the new recruit that appears at the end of "Maid's revenge" looking the same as the general.... Just noticing that I almost starting crying again... 😭

Hahaha "a wild thought", no no don't sell yourself short! Another sequel with abducting the kids and two badass parents fighting to get them back sounds like a splendid idea! Plss isn't there a way to contact the writer and pitch your idea somehow ? 🥲

I'm trying to cope with the loss of this pairing by watching other mini dramas and while doing so happened to find Dai Gao Zheng x Chen Fang Tong in Forever Love Chinese Drama (2023) which is another pairing with great chemistry! Definitely recommended, if you haven't watched it already.
I just finished that drama yesterday and for me it's just as good, if not even a tiny bit better than Your Trap and Embrace in the Dark Night (which had been my favorite mini dramas till now), so now I'm on to watch their other drama "Maid's revenge". But I'm already scared bcs comments spoiled the ending for me and I don't want to let go of another pairing which has already grown on me.🥲 Maybe if it gets too hard to bear I'll just rewatch Lost and Found which was filled with the cutest smiles and which had the perfect happy ending making me feel warm and fuzzy 🥹
