Ep 7 DADADADA~~ hii guys we’re back
- Wonky scenes of maniac Hyukjae laughing and circling around a tied up Sehyun in all his blurry glory - nice intro!👏
- I was already getting bored, but then, to my relieve, Sehyun once again proved what a genius he is: first wanting to use Seongho coming to save him as a threat and then wanting to be killed within the same minute, my dear smart cookie 🍪
- Never seen sb. point their gun at their opponent's gun instead of a body part that might make sense to shoot at. I’m actually curious what would’ve happened if they both shot. Ready for some physics experiment 🔫👩‍🔬
- Songho just putting down his gun without thinking twice - what an heroic act. “Oh you could hurt him with your gun? Let me throw away mine so we' re both utterly defenseless. That’ll help tremendously” – Seongho’s last braincell fighting for its life 🥴
- “Do you know where this is?” – 'No, I came here by myself but I have no idea bcs I used Google Maps and didn’t actually look where I was going' would have been a more logical reply than whatever the actual dialogue was🤦‍♀️
- Hyeokjae is grabbing his gun so loosely, you would assume that with all that great special training Seongho received in the special police force he’d be able to disarm him easily, but instead he is just standing there, furrowing his brows as if his psychic powers have left him 5 years ago 🤨
- Then he just openly tells Hyukjae what he found out about his crimes as if reporting to his superior, atp even his last braincell must have left the sinking ship 🤯
- Sehyun silently squirming around on the chair in the back, suffering as if he was tormented by some invisible ghost is sending me 🤣
- The punches and kicks might have actually been heart-wrenching if the sound wasn’t so over-the-top fake that you cannot help but laugh with every hit 🙉
- At least they came up with a reason why Hyukjae orders Seongho to take off his clothes other than for his lunatic enjoyment (not that I would have cared if they didn't but 🤷‍♀️)
- “Tie your own hands” and Seongho does it so obediently and easily as if he practiced that every evening, just eagerly waiting to show off his talent (He won in my book, give him his damn medal already🥇👏)
- “Tell me your family secret” - kinda unexpected. You gotta give SickMedia that. Whenever you think you’ve figured out where the non-existing plot is headed to, they take a sudden U-turn and leave you utterly lost ↩️
- But of course the villain only knows about the family secret, but was too intellectually stunted to investigate further and find out that Seongho wouldn’t know either 😀
- Seongho half-naked, but the only one sweating profusely as if in a sauna. Love it 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
- The best thing about this ep is Hyukjae making fun of them liking each other. Considering how both their resolve combined is as steadfast as a folding chair I’d actually be curious to find out what they like about each other 🤔
- Did he just throw away his gun to grab the knife? Can’t he put the gun into his pants like a person with a brain would? Error 404: No sign of intelligent life found in this drama❌
- Sehyun, the human punching back that he is, begging Seongho to save him as he gets abused was somewhat hard to watch. For a split second I actually thought “finally some acting that’s kinda believable”, then I saw the cut wound… all that screaming because of that little ketchup scratch?! Let me take my praise back🤐
- Why does it look like Sehyun is kissing back when it’s supposed to be a forced kiss…. So all that squirming earlier was him desperatly craving some affection? 👀
- Ohhh... Seongho actually knows sth but just wanted to see Sehyun suffer a bit longer? Fair enough. Why shouldn’t he be allowed to have some weird kink as well🤷‍♀️
- The random handy screen being shown on a black background looked so hilariously out of place. Did the editor want to show off that he could do some editing for once, even if unnecessary af ?🤣 Yes, you did great. Now pls stop :)
- Noooo😖 just when I was having a blast that milk slurping rando cop shows up playing moral police, when just a few days ago he wanted to screw them all over. Public service announcement: “Little Minho wants to be picked up from the ball pit” (No srsly, pls get that little turd away from my screen before I throw my laptop out of the window)😒

I start to like him quite a bit, at least I get sth to laugh about while he finally starts to think about how he wants to resolve this situation. Let me give him some advice: Just open up a gay strip club and let them all dance for you or become a brothel owner if watching others turns you on. It won’t help with your quest of world domination, but it’ll certainly entertain you and the viewers, too 😊

- First I thought this is some kind of shrine as memorial for his grandpa who might have died by the hands of the police… then he randomly took his shirt off (which seemed slightly inappropriate) to show off his tattoo. So his possible grandpa might be a mafia boss that he ?liked? What in the copy-and-paste-together-several-wattpad-stories is going on? 🤨
- I’ve never heard such a juicy cut, but thanks for offering your tomato juice blood to whoever that old man is 🙌
- That rando character is always running around watching people and drinking milk. This writer’s obsession with milk really needs a whole case study...
- Btw why did Hyukjae not close the blinds? (My guess: he likes being watched when worshipping half naked)
- *boom* Cut to the moon for the gazillionth time. It must be full moon for a lot of nights in a row in their universe 🌕

- Still no idea what leverage Hyukjae has over Sehyun, so it’s annoying the hell out of me that he fights back with ZERO strategy. I thought he and Seongho wanted to work together, but Seongho disappeared and is busy staring at the same file for days.
...the very same file that has Hyukjae’s crimes neatly spelled out: Bribery, prostitution, sold drugs. How hard can it be to arrest him? Is Seongho still learning to read?! 🤦‍♀️
- How can you get a bruised eye, a cut on the nose and bleeding lips from one punch? Is Hyukjae’s fist as big as an elephant’s foot or sth…? If you’re too lazy to do more than one take and add make up in-between, pls try to hide your lazy ass better 🙄
- You have to give Hyukjae some credits, he's actually kinda strong. Pulling Sehyun’s whole body across the floor with just one arm, I’m kinda impressed👀But actually, if you don't plan to fight back anyway... you could also just walk and follow him out the door you know. Just a thought 🙃

Ep 5.
- This week’s intro looked like a whole MV for the DADADA song with a little slice of soft p*rn on the side. What a banger 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
- For once we continue right where we left off… not sure that this a good thing though, considering this kiss scene was already painfully awkward the first time. Seongho clinging to Sehyun’s back as if he's drowning on the floor and them clasping their hands together as if they're wrestling isn’t helping either🫩
- Rando character who doesn’t have anything important to do or say, PLS STOP SMACKING YOUR DAMN LIPS SO LOUDLY AND SAY YOUR DAMN LINE. I got shivers running down my spine 😖
- ‘Don’t let your emotions drive you’, says the absolute maniac before he feeds the one who wants to ruin the other two for no good reason the medicine by mouth. 2 psychos found each other, love that for them!! 😍👏
- Random cut straight to the middle of a wild make-out session of our 2nd couple where one's passionately riding the other who is moving as much as a wooden plank 👀
- Another random cut later, Sehyun’s limping like he just had his hip joined removed instead of having been kicked a few times 🙃
- Sehyun poking Seongho’s injury to check whether he is okay. Are you a toddler? Stop it, get some help 🙂
- The music that plays whenever a kissing scene starts is so awful, I'm constantly fighting the urge to rip off my ears. I already recognize it like a warning that a few seconds later I’m going to cringe so hard that I wish me and this drama never crossed paths 🫥
- Why is the car roof open when they just walked to the car and it obviously rained earlier? (It’s not even a good shot 😑)
- The director has a weird obsession with the moon. Maybe they’re all werewolves and we just don’t know yet? 🤔
- Why is Sehyun holding up his shirt with his mouth? Did he also lose the ability to move his hands which were perfectly fine 10 seconds ago? … ah no, nevermind he used his hands to stuff that shirt deeper into his own mouth…alright🤷‍♀️
- What is this weird obsession with milk? The writer is either living on Wattpad or 5 years old and just LOVES milk 🥛
- Having sb. blow into your ear to wake you up, who doesn’t think that’s an absolutely lovely sensation? 🥴
- Endless stacks of unsorted, loose documents. If the police really worked like that, they would never solve a single case. But magically Seongho finds what he is looking for which luckily is the only file neatly put into a binder✨ But the even bigger question, why the heck is Kwon Hyukjae still working for the police when he apparently did all those crimes that have been listed there??
- Still not a single clue what the frick is happening, so I won't even question anymore why Kwon Hjukjae’s visiting records/financial transactions are neatly written down by hand, so that anyone who finds them can easily make a copy... just accept that nothing makes sense 💆‍♀️
- The shadow of the camera man being visible - what a classic and what a relief! I almost got bored thinking the bed scene was way too private. Isn’t it much more exciting when you’re being watched by an unknown 3rd party?😌
- Why is Seongho sorry for 'running away' when he was angry before that Sehyun disappeared and didn’t show up to the airport. Even they don't remember wHaT haPpENd 5 yEaRs aGo?!?😵‍💫
- I’m all for openly asking for consent (showing that is truly commendable), but why does it feel like Sick Media is overcompensating after having erased anything closely related to “consent” from their dictionary for Tide of Love and people rightfully criticizing that this is not what BDSM is about? They have the sensitivity of a bull in a china shop smh...

Ep 4.
- Still very questionable music choices, but then in other moments the bgm goes silent and there's just loud ass breathing as if a gorilla was breathing down my neck 😀
- Did anyone else get flashbacks of TOL when they shared the milk? Haejun constantly being waterboarded, while living off milk and bread, and Jaehun liking the way he eats bread. The good old times😌
- Not even 5 minutes in and I already lost my shit when every single one of the police officers "working" on a computer is just staring at a "Windows 7" screen without a single program opened but they're all busy typing away on their keyboards anyway. The cherry on top is a deafening, fake typewriter noise blesssing our ears🤣 Nobody is gonna believe you if you told them this and they haven't seen this fever dream🤣🤣
- Okay, I knew that lackey of Hyukjae was kinda fishy… but that he is also just batshit crazy with some worrisome anger issues on the side wasn’t on my bingo card. But the fact that Sehyun willing chose to hang out with that dude either means this behavior was indeed really unexpected or Sehyun just isn't the brightest candle on the cake 🎂
- Those kicks and punching sounds are all the exact same... If you already use adobe stock sound effects, pls while you're at it, download more than 2, thanks.
- The bgm follows the same repeating pattern: The first annoying music aprubtly stops without any apparent reason (finally, yay🙌) and then, just as suddenly, another stupid music starts (GOD. NO GOD, PLS NO. NOOOOOOOO😩)
- The two of them sharing a very deep, groundbreaking convo and very intimate, private moment on the club floor, while there are random people sitting and dancing in the background looking like zombies. How romantic 🥰
- The constant smoking which doesn't help to make any of them look fiercer is going on my nerves. If you throw a pack of cigarettes and a lighter into a kindergarten, the toddlers won't magically look like the yakuza 🤷‍♀️
- That kissing angle not only looks frking uncomfortable for both of them, but it also felt like any further to the side and we might be able to see so deep into Seongho's nose, we'll see his brain soon 👀
And of course, not even 15 seconds into their kiss, they're already laughing so hard, they're shaking as if they were sitting on a massage chair (and that would have been a better setting idea than whatever this is).
- At this point noone cares anymore to say cut or reshoot any scenes, at least this way the incompetent editor doesn't even get the chance to use all takes and make 20 continuity mistakes in one scene. Great save!👏

- With every “DA” from that intro I’m losing another braincell, but I already know that after this series ends DADADADA will be living rent free in my head 😌
- NOO they’re back with the mismatched audio and the most fake sound effects ever, loud ass typing and elephant foot steps 🙉
- The good knews is Myeongcheol has never taken drugs before, the bad things is… it shows A LOT 😅
- You don’t create more suspense by repeating the same line/question ten times. “I BeT yOu ArE cUrIoUs wHy i lEfT 5 YeARs AgO?! No I lost that curiosity the 2nd time you didn’t answer. Now here’s the door 🙂
- Seongho slamming the table , while still excuding absolutely 0 authority and giving wet rag energy had me internally screaming 😊
- Why the f*ck does Seongho proudly declare he has videos and photos of Sehyun "fooling around with others"? And why does he even describe it like that when it actually looks like Sehyun was held captive?
Knowing SickMedia, they're gonna raise another 100 questions in the next eps they don't know the answers to either, so we’re gonna be teased about the non-existent plot till the end. Then everything vanishes into thin air 🫧
- This ep. felt like we didn’t move anywhere. So pointless and boring that I suddenly started to miss the scenes from ep 2 when their pelvises were having a long distance relationship and the air between was being violated for 5 minutes straight. At least that made me laugh 🥲

I dont think he acted in anything with a female costar yet, so there is nothing to compare his kissing performance to, but I can agree on him looking uncomfortable while kissing on camera. But judging from the BTS I'd still argue he doesnt dislike kissing men or anyone while filming per se, to me he rather looks inexperienced, clumsy and tense out of nervousness. But this is also on the whole production crew (incl. the director like you said) bcs the vibe on the Sweetheart Service set was totally different. (Also, there is even snippets where his kissing has improved and is well-matched with Myeongcheol here though it's literally just seconds at a time and people don't watch that closely.)

Besides, like you said there's nothing homophobic in disliking kissing men, I only said that because I've read several comments now (here and for TOL) that sound like he's not simply "disliking" it but is "disgusted" and that insinuates sth else imo. Especially if you phrase it in a way that he is actually doing sth offensive by taking on this role when the only offense could be being actually homophobic.

I won't deny that they maybe should have hired another actor, but I wish people wouldn't make it sound like a crime that Hyeonseo agreed to play a role that might be challening to him and out of his comfort zone (I know he usually does theatre, so his usual roles will be quite different). How else should sb. improve? It's just a pity that there seems to be so little direction, re-takes and such bad editing which makes him look like the worst and this is turning from a learning experience into an opportunity for people to senselessly mock him.

Lastly, I admit I might have taken some of the comments too extremly but if you were here during TOL, you'll know how much all the actors got dragged bcs of things that are the sole fault of the shitty production team and I hate to see this happening all over again. Viewers can criticize his acting and his kissing skills. I won't say anything as long as they don't blame him for other's faults or insult him as a person.

I'm not trying to defend Hyeonseo's kissing skills here but I wish people would stop saying he obviously doesn't like kissing men, making it sound like he is some kind of homophob.
If you've seen Sweetheart Service and the BTS, you'll know he actually can kiss pretty decently and is absolutely comfortable with kissing his co-star. I'm not saying his kissing skills are great, but he can do better.
Idk what's wrong with him when it comes to Myeongcheol bcs in Tide of Love BTS (which I cannot link now, since they turned them into member-only content) he also looked very comfortable around him and I don't think their chemistry is the actual problem.
It's either that he just cannot handle Myeongcheol's kissing style or that the direction is unclear/non-existent or that the editing sucks (or probably all three). Even in TOL BTS, there were parts of him kissing back and the kissing being well matched, that they just edited out bcs they considered it unfitting for his "submissive" role 🤷‍♀️
Anyways, while I usually only leave fun comments, I needed to get this of my chest.
