One of these dramas that are like watching a car crash, you don't want to look but you can't help but stare😅 It's so bad that it's addicting somehow and almost entertaining, but only almost cause every time something dramatic happens, it's presented in such an underwhelming, nonchalant way, like "oops kidnapped someone🤪", "oops drugged someone *again*🤪", "opps jumped from a balcony🤪" which gets kinda annoying. Is it supposed to be really dramatic or a funny makjang? Either is fine, but pls choose one😅 Also, that open ending makes it seems like there's gonna be season 2 and I don't even want to imagine that. The only good thing this drama has goig the 4 MLs are all handsome and the bodyguard was really funny, but I've seen enough of that 😂
At least that's what I saw in a post on YT and here in the comments above yours, but MDL removed the countdown to the release date that went up yesterday, so now I'm a bit confused🫠😭
maybe re/watch maids revenge/forever love this time – the chemistry is same, leave you high and dry. I bet :)
Yes, yes 12th of January! They even added the countdown timer here now! AHHH so excited!! Fingers crossed for more of Dai's smiles, but you're right, you can never go wrong with DaixChen 🤭🔥
HAHAHAHA SAAME 😭😭😂🙌🏻🙌🏻 I hope it's true, though I have no way to check bcs I dont speak Chinese, but I saw it on YT and here in the comments above yours 🤣 anyway, let me celebrate first 🥳

Hahaha I get where you're coming from🤭 DGZ as bodyguard is definitely his best role in terms of the hotness factor 🔥🫠 but I wished he had more soft momemts and smiled some more in that drama. Bcs for me Dai's smile>>>>>> 💗 Btw did you hear? We finally got a release date for their 4th drama together 🥹🥳

Aw thanks for the reminder 🥹 I've rewatched those (or rather my favorite scenes bcs there are just too many annoying characters or villains 🫠) countless times, too. But somehow I always return to Rainkissed fate. I guess I like Dai's character there just a tiny bit more. His shyness in the beginning is to die for! 🤭💓
I dont think so. At least, I didnt see anyone mention it. But I'd appreciate it if someone did bcs I dont even…
Oh thx for the link! I just filled out everything till I came to the part about "Release Information" where you can choose to "add another season". Now i'm confused whether you should even create a new page for another season or add it to the TOL1 page somehow? I didnt want to submit sth wrong so I cancelled it for now 😅
(Sorry in the advance, for the long reply that somehow turned into an essay. I guess I'm just trying to make sense…
(Again, long reply ahead😂😂 Take your time to read and reply if you even want to! Sorry for the essay again😅😂 I could talk about TOL for hours. Bcs I for one, fell in love with the actors' chemistry (especially their off-screen chemistry in the BTS and their YT livestream) and I'm just really frustrated about all that potential of this story/the actors being wasted. I think you're the wrong one to discuss this with because we actually agree that this isn't as bad as people make it out to be😅 😂)
Thanks for answering! Don’t apologize for replying twice, I appreciate that you read all that and replied in depth! I think I get your point and we mostly agree 🙂↕️ Again, I don’t think the problem really is just the lack of NC scenes and not even the lack of a solid plot bcs yes, I have to agree there are series like My Stubborn which are still praised even without plot and only NC scenes (btw I admit I enjoyed that one too, though so much NCs get repetitive and boring over time). I think it’s a just a problem of promoting this series as sth that it just isn’t. I agree with you, it’s okay if people don’t like it but you’re also right, people shouldn’t call this trash because of the lack of NC scenes. But I think it’s not the viewers’ fault either if they end up hating a show for lacking what they were promised (even if that’s NC scenes that aren’t exactly necessary).
If people went into it knowing it was low budget production, they would have appreciated it much more (with or without NC scenes), but I guess “low budget” is not a term you’d use to market a series bcs it might scare people away from the start. Finding out it's low budget while watching is just not really cool, especially because the first two episodes were still quite decent in editing quality (yes, I even rewatched TOL and noticed that). Also, the trailer was edited so well and focused so much on the BDSM aspect that people just had to expect high quality and mostly NC scenes. If they had shown more of the sweet romantic scenes, it would have been another story. Actually, I’m scared they’re making the same mistake again with the 2nd season (idk if you’ve seen the 2 trailers yet)…
Another thing is the missing plot. Even plotless dramas have their audience and it’s fine if the plot isn’t the focus of the show. But for this series, nothing seems to be the main point: The BDSM are badly executed, the sweet scenes are kinda random and the editing, sound, directing isn’t just low budget but just careless (especially compared to the trailers, which prove they could actually do so much better). And since that’s the case, people start focusing more on the plot, which, like you pointed out, had so much potential! An interesting premise, a good idea of a basic story and good actors, but the plot ends up being a big disappointment too, bcs they just keep on teasing snippets of the plot throughout the eps which don’t lead anywhere. This makes it more confusing than if this series just had no plot at all. 😅
Anyways, I think the comments gotten better now (in the sense that people are criticizing mostly the editing, directing and missing plot, not the missing NC scenes). More people that didn’t see the trailer and waited for this since before its release are coming across this drama and they have less specific expectations. I’m glad MDL doesn’t include the BDSM tag bcs that’s just false advertising, adding a low budget tag would be even better. I don't know what to expect for season 2, but I hope people will understand that the actors are not at fault at all and can appreciate their effort even in another possibly disastrous production.
Call me crazy but I'm going through some serious withdrawal since this series ended😅 It feels like 2 decades passed, bcs nothing excites me as much as waiting for the next episode of this trashy show and the hilarious comments did 😭 I guess I'll have to rewatch it as I wait for the 2nd season. Seeing the trailers, the actor's chemistry is still fire and it's gonna be another batshit crazy ride... Caan't wait!! 🤣
The only good thing is their somewhat good chemistry. It felt rushed and draggy at the same time. And what's with that ending, is this getting a 2nd season?
The first half was pretty slow for this genre, but after ep. 7 it picked up speed and it became really thrilling. There are some scenes that just don't make any sense (but I guess ML and FL have to survive so who cares) and some of the residents are really frustrating to watch. If you see how naive and guillable they act (even after fighting with the other residents/infected for days!) you'll believe they only have one braincell left. The last ep was just as hilarious as it was emotional. Everyone was going batshit crazy which made it almost hard to get into the feels for the main couple. I wish we got more closure regarding what happened to the other residents besides the main couple. Overall, a really solid drama. I was never bored, though I could imagine that some wouldn't expect a infectious disease themed show to be this slow, but I actually liked that, bcs it gave the viewer time to breath, if that's not the case, such movies are often too stressful for me.
I wish I was joking 😭 but it seems like the producers really meant it when they said "our story's just begun" in the last ep. Praying for more plot and less waterboarding 🙏🏻😭
