Title The Double
we audience should THANKs production for Extra Epthat Extra Ep 40.5 save the ENDING, it change our view on FINALLY
I haven't watched yet but the producer is so smart and actually listen to the audience and give them what they want. Hoping future dramas would do the same!

This is one of the most boring rebirth/revenge story. I don't usually fast forward mini dramas because it's fast paced enough but this one I was watching in x2 speed. Just found the leads way too nice and there is no satisfaction on their revenge. I also got used to all the sensual kisses in minis recently so this one was so disappointed. I don't think there was even 1 consensual kiss scene between the leads.

I haven’t rated it but I think it’s so far not as good as the 2017 version which is rated 8.0 on both MDL…
Ah got it. Oh yes, yellow is also pronounce the same as king. I guess it's because Wong is such a popular surname in Cantonese, I just assume it was always this character 王. Thanks for explaining.

U can watch 2017 version, it has detailed story and much more better in almost all things than this one imo
I started the 2017 version. Way better in the storytelling. The actors were way better too even though they were probably newbies during that time. I actually felt the emotions of the characters unlike the characters here. I didn't even feel sad with the double suicide.

Really i haven't watched the 2017 version and i thought it would be worse in terms of cgi and fighting scenes…
Maybe start the 2024 version and see if you like the story. It's very fast paced and if you're into it, then watch the 2017 version since you'll get way more details and I find the flow of the story alot better on 2017. I sorta fwd quite a bit on the first 3 episodes since it was the backstory of the parents. I think from episode 4 is when Guo Jing is an adult. He's good looking but hate his hairstyle lol I'm on episode 10 now and that's equivalent to episode 5 on this one.

For sure the cgi is not as good as the currently airing drama but I find the fight choreography way better on the 2017 version. I also like Li Yi Tong as Huang Rong. She's so badass.

I'm watching this and also the 2017 version at the same time. I'm really disappointed with the fight scenes here. The other version was 7-8 years older but it's not inferior in the fight scenes. I actually thought the 2017 fight scenes were even better.

Hey, I don't speak mandarin but is the FL's last name Huang? I thought it was Wong. I thought the mandarin spelling for that is Wang.

Yes! I have never ever used the Mandarin pronunciation for any Hongkong actors. I either use the Cantonese or English versions. I was watching TLoH and I was trying to figure out the characters because they were not familiar to me. Now I'm watching the 2017 version in Cantonese and it's coming back to me the characters names and how much cooler it sounded.

Oh I was wondering why the OST sounds familiar. That's why!! And I agree about the character names in Canto sound so much better. I don't really need to watch Mando dramas in Cantonese. I just enjoy it more when I have watched the original in Canto before and Stephen Chow's movies has to be in Cantonese or else the jokes and phrases won't be the same.

Oh really? I'm so used to dramas in Mandarin now, it's weird hearing it dubbed in Cantonese. I watched the 1983 one when I was a kid but I don't remember anything about the storyline now.

I started this but it's very fast paced. You got me curious about the 2017 version and I found it on youtube and bonus - it's a Cantonese version too!

I find it hard to believe that actors will reject the role of Duke Su. It is a S drama and produced by Yu Zheng. Why would any 'newbie' actor want to reject this??

What kind of misogynistic society is China that your husband can just quit your job on your behalf or call and…
IKR but I think it is reality in China. I saw another drama where the parents can make decisions regarding buying/selling a house on behalf of their kid since they are under the same household. The kids will take on the parents debt or spouse's debt etc.

The ending didn't make sense. So he changed the past by getting her to go aboard so she lives but then why did he still have the memories of them together and even his assistant has the memories of what wasn't supposed to happen (since it was changed), why was his memories intact?? major plot hole.

I hate that they always let the bad guys get away even though it seems that they have them surrounded. Makes no sense that they were not able to chase and capture/kill them.

This was such a frustrating watch. I watched episode 1-10 and then 19-24 hoping that it would be better and not dropped it at 10. None of the characters are likeable including the main leads. Their actions were so questionable and the whole time, I was just like "why would you do that??" very annoying, especially with the most useless emperor in dramaland.

Episode 6 fight scene was just too funny lol
The only thing I'm disappointed with is the FL visually didn't really match with the ML. He's way better looking and she's average looking. I think her best friend and Elly are prettier than her.
