I admit I did skip quite a bit in the beginning or not paying attention to some stuff. Wasn't aware his parents were dead. Thought they were just absent in his life aboard.

I'm all caught up now. Episode 28 is good. The FL and her mom had a talk to clear the air. The mom gave her side and apologized for her wrongdoing. I think she should be good now.

so true. Her mom has crossed so many boundaries and doesn't respect her daughter as an adult but she expects unconditional respect for herself just because she is her mom.

Romance is not the main focus of this drama. More like a family/slice of life drama. If romance is what you're looking for, this might not be for you.

I was tolerant of her old fashioned typical Chinese mom behavior earlier but yeah the engagement party really crossed the line. I'm just not happy with how the FL and her mom made up afterward. She hasn't changed and still greedy and shameless as ever. Let's hope there is more on her redemption arc.

I'm nearly caught up. On episode 24 now. I thought the mothers on A simple life were horrible. This one takes the cake. At least the mother on A simple life had a good redemption arc. This one, not so much, yet.

Very well said. It baffled me that some audience would see this as the grandmother and HZ's fault for HJ's situation and hated them. Some people are truly unbelievable to justify her heinous actions.

I'm watching BCE as well but I'm enjoying this one more but I'm not liking the airing schedule. 3 days without any episodes is too long. I want to watch shooting stars but waiting for more episodes to air first.

I must have missed it in the beginning lol. It only dong on me when the emperor cut the 6th prince. Like you, I missed some stuff when I watch late at night or when I was doing something else at the same time lol
