I found the first three episodes hard to wade through—especially episode 3 which is 70% just her and the mother in law. Does it pick up? Worth sticking out?

I got to a point where I was watching it because it was so funny how bad it was. I skimmed through to the end and laughed at how inane the plot was.

It is yes. They start really developing feelings about ten episodes in. Confession scene on 18, married in 19, no messy break up.

I’ve watched this so many times already, and after being disappointed in “The Princess’s Gambit”, I think I want to watch it all over again.

I usually struggle with slow burn, but love for these two actors and reviews on the great writing are tempting me to watch both seasons. Prepare me. When do they finally admit their feelings in this show? What about their first kiss?

I so feel you. “Grab Your Love” and “My Everlasting Bride” are really good minidramas in this era, but I’ve yet to find many full lengths. “My Roommate is a Detective” is very good, but it doesn’t have the warlord aspect, which I enjoy. Still very good though.

Meng Ziyi and Liu Xueyi are both amazing actors… The deserved so much more than this script 💔
