I feel the exact same way. I was waiting for that happy ending to make this all worth it but they went with an amnesia plot and on the last few episodes. It doesn’t make sense. I’m so disappointed but I agree with you the chemistry between the leads was fantastic. I wish they had a special episode where we get a better ending.

I’m still in shock that was the ending. Watched the raw parts and I’m extremely disappointed. The chemistry between the leads was so amazing. And they sort of ruined it with that ending. I’m flabbergasted.

I thought based on the comments of the people who read the novel that they were going to get remarried and have twins. Why didn’t we get that ending. Or at least something more satisfactory without the amnesia bit. Sigh I hope we can get another drama with the leads together. They are so good and the chemistry was so natural.

It was a good drama though except for the last few episodes. I wish some of the sweet scenes that we saw would have just been the ending instead.

Was that really the ending? Is there a chance for a bonus episode? I’ve never followed a cdrama live before. I’m so sad. I thought the novel had a better ending than this.

Thanks for letting me know. I had no idea, I thought the timing in the drama were just in the past and they filmed this after 2020.

I can’t wait for those scenes. Also I completely agree with you, the drama has shortcomings and there are parts that I’ve skipped through but there’s many more amazing things like the chemistry, great acting and visuals of course. I was surprised there’s a big age gap between them because they’re so natural and you can’t really tell. Definitely will be watching until the end and praying it’s a very happy ending. I love the opening song too :)

I’m eagerly awaiting several scenes that we saw in the trailer and opening/closing credit. Hopefully they won’t be cut. It looks like there might be many sweet moments coming up!!

I think the chemistry between the leads is what’s keeping me hooked on this show. I haven’t seen Peng Guan Ying and Wang Chu Ran in any drama before and they are both fantastic. Definitely keeping an eye out on their future dramas. Also not sure if it’s just me but I love the OST, I’m always staying to watch the end credit because of the main song.

Oh I’m scared for the sad part you mentioned above. But at least they end up together. Hopefully there’s at least many happy moments and not a rushed ending. Thank you so much for letting me know!!!

I feel the exact same way. Thank you for writing this. Uk has been saying Mudeok the entire show and even his last word in epi 20. That’s who we know and love. I know she’s Naksu but she’s just Mudeok. It’s hard to explain.

Completely agree. Yeah if she’s not in part 2 at least give her a better ending. She’s been a vital part of the story and we’re supposed to move forward with what they just gave us? I don’t get it. With what everyone has been saying I really hope with all my heart she at least makes a cameo.

Yeah I don’t think she’s filming for part 2 so that’s why I’m upset we didn’t get a proper ending for her. I thought I missed something cause if that was the ending for her character that sucked. Especially since she’s been the FL for 20 episodes. Hopefully we get more details soon or I guess we have to wait until December to find out 😕.

Haha yeah I don’t it’s a money issue. Maybe a scheduling conflict? I’m really need time to digest everything that went down.

Based on the rumors they said we will find out why JSM won’t be in part 2 at the end of today’s episode. But we didn’t really get a conclusion for her character. Did I miss something? If I didn’t know abt the rumors, I would be confused why she wasn’t included in the part 2 trailer. Do you guys think we’ll get any updates on part 2 soon?

For sure! I legit cried watching the ending of epi 19 even though it’s a happy scene. Since I know it’s going to burn and crash soon. I’ll cherish all the Uk and Mudeok moments that we’ve gotten and just pretend that’s my ending.

Exactly this was my first fantasy drama and I was so excited and have loved watching it. But the lead change just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I’ve come to love JSM as Mudeok/Naksu. It’s such a big change that breaks my heart and it’s so unnecessary in my opinion. Just saw the pre release clip for ep 20. How can you watch that and think you want a different FL. I wish they could have a happy ending. I’m going to be crying a river tomorrow.

Agreed. Sure Naksu will continue but not in the body that we’ve been seeing. Or heck even what Jang Uk’s been seeing. He hasn’t even met the OG Naksu. If they were going this route they shouldn’t have had that much romantic scenes between them and just wait for pt2. Then we wouldn’t have gotten as attached. Now I love Mudeok and Uk too much together!! And it’s hard to picture him with anyone else.

Glad you feel the same way, I thought I was the only one. I’m trying to be positive but it’s so hard. They’ve pretty much spoiled a big part of the ending for us already. I don’t understand how the production team would allow this to happen. I don’t follow a lot of dramas do these things happen often? And the leak happened earlier on too. Sorry I’m just not taking this news well 😭 I need to follow TSwift’s advice and calm down.

I completely agree. The structure of the show doesn’t make sense. And if they planned for GYJ to be in part 2, she should have been in part 1 more, not just her voice. Like have flashbacks or more of her in episode 1. I hate actress swaps in generals and I’m so disappointing I want to cry! Really wanted to see JSM until the end.
