YWS's identity reveal in front of GZY happened so quick, I wasn't expecting it to happen in such. In my mind, such revelation was supposed to be grand and dramatic but I guess the revelation of Wufang's leader would be massive.
The current rumored cast isn't doing it for me. No hate, both SWL & ZYX are good-looking but when it comes to their acting I don't find it real enough. It's like I can from the screen feel them trying so hard to act. The only time I've liked their dramas are when they are opposite to powerful actors who manage to shadow their bad acting. PS: Again no hate to anyone, it's just my personal pov.
Still think miles wei would have been better choice for shi yan. After reading the novel especially.
Miles Wei is good at playing serious dominating Ceo type character but when it comes in terms of chemistry, I don't think he would come of as compatible with Bai Lu as much Dylan Wang does.
For the past 14 episodes I am waiting for GZY's character development, but he still feels like a child participating in elder's game. At beginning when his first shot came in, I thought he was a mysterious guy who pretended to hide his true self but clearly half way through the drama, he still the good-looking main character who doesn't know anything happening around him and only cares about proving himself to GSJ.
At first I was reluctant to admit it but when compared to GSJ what is it about GZY that makes him the main character. I mean half of the time GZY is crying about being the sword wielder and simping around YWS (who one second is a stranger to him and another second she's his fiancee, their sudden development seems so unnatural when compared to GSJ & SQ's slow burn relationship.)
Let me guess, GZY is supposedly the 'chosen one' because he lived with a silver spoon (drinking, roaming around, having fun) and got to become the leader of a whole sect when he can barely manage himself.
Yikes! I’m anxious for this drama to finish airing without any hiccup coz I just found out abt Chu Zijun and…
Maybe because he isn't popular nor he is sentenced yet, i guess that worked in the drama's favour. If it would have been a popular celebrity he/she would have been long banned and erased in china.
The three of them celebrating Christmas and watching snow in 1998 when the time span is clearly between July/august to October. It's definitely a plot hole, isn't it?
This drama better be worth all the wait youku has put me through....I have spent years manifesting it. Now that after so long it's finally beginning to seem to be possibly close to air, I m hoping for it to be really good.
Yup!! I don't get why people don't learn from others mistakes. Because of this, she is gonna ruin her career as well as the hard work of all those people who worked with her.
For me ALP ended with a happy family of three reunion. But reading the synopsis and numerous speculation of the drama being after the death of true gods breaks my heart apart. The main reason for me to watch this drama is to get that ALP world essences again. I hope they don't change the storyline of the of the prequel (which most the dramas do) to match the new storyline.
It's good that it's only 24 episodes, the lesser the episode, the more focused and linear the storyline is without any unnecessary filler scenes. It's only been five episodes and the story has progressed a in a perfect pace while still keeping the mystery phenomenon. I hope they don't ruin it in the later episodes.
So much build up only to have complete filler. They wasted the time adding unnecessary conflicts rather than showing more of the main leads relationship. The starting was so good but as soon as they started dating, the drama started to divert in the direction that I didn't enjoy at all.
how come Jin Lian and Jin Luo didn't find the similarity in XY and CH's resembles? I get it, it is practical to thing they forgot her appearance since they last saw her was 30,000 years ago but then again they are immortal, 30k isn't a big time period for them.
I was soo looking forward to their college time but turns out the drama got rid of all their sweet moments and just progressed with ML's shooting career. I don't have problem with drama adding extra character story or more of side couples story but what I do mind is them completely forgetting about the main leads ones. They apparently got into the relationship but it still feels like they are high school students who haven't confessed their to each other. Apart from them kissing a few times, there's nothing, no romance, no progress. I was dying to see the library scene from the novel where FL tries seducing ML or when ML's friends getting jealous of him because such beauty like FL was following him or ML not knowing FL's brother and getting jealous of him or them getting all lovey dovey in front FL's hostel and appearing on the school gossiping site next day.....and so on. The drama didn't showed any of them instead just boringly moved forward.
- also his uncle in the novel tried to commit suicide because of depression not accident. That’s why he was…
In Hidden Love, ML's father committed suicide. They didn't exactly showed that scene but showed the follow up scene of ML and his mother running in shock. So if MGTV's production is daring enough, they might keep it.
Few major differences in the novel and drama uptil now- •ML owned a tattoo shop where he and FL has first interaction. •Instead fixing her bracelet, FL asked for him to tattoo on her butt. (She later got scared of the pain and refused to have it done) •They both got together when they were in school. So technically the rumour about ML's ex-girlfriend being his deskmate in the drama weren't exactly wrong. •ML was almost 1 and a half year something older than her, so he often had to control his inner desires later when they were in college because she was still a minor then. •When they reunited and ML was quite angry with FL, she tries to seduce him into accepting her apology.
PS: The novel's translation was as bad as Mgtv's sub. So there might be a thing I could have gotten wrong.
