I expected the writers to be more creative in depicting true affection, which doesn't necessarily require a kiss. There were so many opportunities for meaningful intimacy.
if you see they managed to create a buzz like Keishi saying gn, I assumed they are going to text more.
Tojo reacting while seeing the new cafe and thinking about what he likes etc.
Tojo meetings his sisters and says how important Keishi is.
Enjoying cake and sharing the same spoons.
ordering insane customized drinks and telling Keishi he can't do alone.
telling Keishi how confused he is and over thinking. I mean story line is there but they just decided to skip those and left me imagine stuff or I expected a lot :(.

That's the perfect way to put it. It's the difference between seasoning a dish while you cook versus dumping a whole shaker of salt on it at the end. One is skillful crafting, the other is a desperate attempt to fix something that's fundamentally bland.

It makes no sense. That confession was a huge deal for them, and the most natural, obvious follow-up would have been them talking all night or phone calls. Instead, we got... whatever that was. Removing the emotional core of the show for a filler plot is a baffling choice.
You know, yesterday I re watched it twice to assure myself I skipped nothing and they actual chose to give them guest roles. I feel so bad for waiting entire work :(
I am on that drop fence but so close to end I am gonna endure. ENDURE! But you nailed it....the filler is the…
May be than a message from you saying that, epsiode 8 was not bad. That crown now belongs to Episode 9. I need to look for another series now. For now, re watching old fashion cup cakes :)
So, we're all in agreement, this episode was a waste, right? I hate that I waited all week for this. The manga…
100% agreement. The wasted potential is the most frustrating part. They had a golden opportunity to build real, meaningful conflict that could have paid off later, and instead they gave us filler. Now you're right, we're absolutely barreling toward a rushed, unsatisfying ending.
I don't even care about the kiss. I want meaningful episodes
Thanks you. You have perfectly broken down, why the episode failed so badly. That 'falling asleep' trope is an…
Given that the writers are now shifting focus to side characters, I have a proposal for the next episode: dedicate it entirely to plushie . We can finally reveal her to be a sinister entity, a kind of 'Annabelle' doll, whose sole purpose is to torment Tojo. The episode could culminate in her well-deserved destruction, finally putting an end to her incessant meddling in the main plot.
I have very ni expectations from them so I dropped the series. I do silently also wish they do better. I am still annoyed at them 😞

Don't even get me started! It's 100% on the writers and producers, not the actors. A competent writing room plans for this stuff. If an actor has limited availability, you get creative—you use flashbacks, phone calls, other characters talking about them, anything to keep them integrated into the narrative. To just write them out completely and then dump a new character's entire backstory in one go is the laziest, most amateur-hour solution. It screams bad planning and totally disrespects the audience's intelligence

The focus shifted inexplicably to a side character whose personal resolutions—fixing office politics and boyfriend problems—were entirely disconnected from the central plot and themes. At this point, I could not even connect to this lady because I was not hoping it to be dragged for one long episode.
Furthermore, the episode failed to develop its main leads. If the writers by any chance claim that we're seeing Tojo's "leadership" or "compassion" rings hollow; after three years of working together, their professional dynamic is already well-established. This didn't add anything new.
I really wish I can call those writers, people who approved and take them to the performance review

This episode was a complete filler misfire. Keishi and Tojo were relegated to guest roles in their own story while a side character's mundane problems took center stage. We learned nothing new about the leads—their supposed 'development' felt completely unearned.
The frustrating Tanaka drinks scene summed it up: why go out with an annoying colleague instead of calling your long-distance potential boyfriend who can't stop thinking about you? A total waste of time when the fantastic twins were right there for actual entertainment
You can't keep you and your potential bf toys on bench and expect some magic to happens, I was so annoyed to Tojo.
I so wanted to call and tell him, dude it's not a mystery why you are still single :)

I don't like stories with too many lovely dovey clingy stuff or bold NC stuff
