I think the minister of rites also knew general Jing was a slave, that’s why he made him do his bidding. I think he promised Jing a position as a minister , similar to LB’s father position. I think Jing also has ulterior motives, but as to why he connived with Yi Zhi is still unknown.

Unless someone gave a precise description of how CS looks like, but then again CS said it himself that it’s been years since he saw his brother so it’ll be difficult to know.
