ikr maybe SW said that without thinking too much of ES's situation. He lived most of his life in the US where scandals like this don't decide anything. He doesn't even know her EX's story or why she was dropped previously from that movie. Some people do marry before they get famous I think NSJ is married already in her early 30s but that doesn't always happen.

You might be right about that but not wanting two full adults into your house where your immature child lives and is clearly going to be against it seems fine to me.

KS is harsh on SJ but he dearly loves her. It shows in how he let her follow her dream despite how little she showcased her hardwork. He followed her competition deadlines and result days better than she did. And encouraged her when she finally found a job even though it was out of their family league.

Instead you have him saying how charming and kind she is 😂

Yeah that scene would be dramatic but still it's too risky to speak of engagement and marriage esp that in Korean culture people can date for years before they get married. There's a pressure to get married but ES is 28 and is still young to be worried about that in kdrama setting

It's the hate. It always seems that she blames them for cheating more than she does for not seeing the kids. And remember how her and JS kept comparing and talking about the 2 husbands.

True, I like how she dealt with it in this episode. I don't know how to explain it but for someone who spent so much time looking for the kids he doesn't have much presence now that they have been found.

It will be ridiculous if anything happened between the two at this point anyway but whatever made JA marry DG even though she knew he loved CY could be the reason this relationship is not "over" yet.

I was so disappointed. This is not how I wanted to hear the full story. I'm glad EA didn't sit through this tbh because this behavior of we didn't actually sleep together would have made the girl break for good.

All adults (lol everyone but garam in this show is an adult - I'm even younger than all of them smh) are bad communicators. They all lack proper communication skills no one is willing to actually listen to anyone else.

I don't think JA would agree to going on a family meeting with ES as the bride. They didn't even invite her over for dinner. I think the preview was just based on that family conversation ES had with hers after the invite has gotten canceled and they questioned SW's intentions in dating.

It'd be career suicide to get married to the director of your debut movie before the movie is even shot. Her archenemy is still following her around. Her and HY will for sure plot something to ruin her casting if the engagement is ever talked about.

This show is weird. Why did they stretch out the truth-telling so much when the excuse was just bs. They shouldn't have made it seem so important.

EH is right about the moving part. JA can't bring the kids and crash her family's home. It'd be a different story if the SW SJ knew that they had older siblings somewhere and that one day they might come back. They would probably be happy or at least ready to meet them. Then the whole living together wouldn't be an issue. But going there having not met them once and at the age of 37 sounds off to anyone. They should meet first, spend time, and get to know each other. For ones who can't wait to live together JA - EA only really met once.

I am again really disappointed by this "secret" and its reveal. So anti-climatic.
At least EH is finally meeting SW as ES bf I hope.

I almost puked. JA's behavior was as if she still liked him. Honestly 90% of the time it doesn't feel like she's actually married to someone. I'd want my partner to be with me in every important step and decision. She doesn't consult him and does everything on her own.

Oh I'd hate the "I'm sorry I left you alone because of your mistakes, I actually love you" ending. Honestly, judging by the character, ES could even be the "I am helping you because my brother loves you girl". I get both reactions but I still don't want them.

In different news, I thought about this during today's episode which was such a filler episode lol. I think at the rate things are going HY might end up forcing EH to do something bad and that will end up directly hurting EH and weighing on his conscious and hers.

Maybe after that, both could be "bad" people and suitable for each other.

I might be making this comment too early. But EA > JA.

Just by seeing how sincere and thoughtful she is to ES. The fact that she decided to turn a blind eye to her parents' affair. She is wrong in not listening to them properly and getting to the bottom of it. Maybe that's just her way of saving some of the love and respect she has for them. Going back to the restaurant scene, it's not that they denied it. They wanted to explain the situation which isn't a good sign.

EA is still wrong but she isn't as selfish as JA. At least, I hope not.

Great point. Usually, parents are just worried sick whether their kids are eating well and are safe and protected. JA just seems that she's mad that they grew up well without her and with CY's parenting.
She can't seem to accept the fact that EA's biggest scar was because of her absence and turned that back to CY.

It could be that JA knew deep down that both CY and DG are good people enough to raise the kids well.

Yeah, he could have tried harder. 100%. But I still don't think it brings him to fault. He thought she might change her mind and look for him. He was giving her space.
There's a point in putting more blame on the parents than JS because they are the parents and should do their utmost best for their kids. Just like JA looked for him he should have probably looked for her even as an afterthought.
TBF he really moved back to their old neighborhood and never mentioned the mom having abandoned them. I know stories of friends whose fathers said awful false things about their birth mothers for no reason. Or families who'd just make the divorced person a devil for their kids. Divorce isn't pretty most of the time, especially when one of the parents isn't present.

I think when she got to the hospital and was sick for a long time. She stopped taking his calls and was no where to be found expect through her sibling. He might have found a good job in the Philippines (that could really a be a rapid descion). He still believed JA wanted the kids that's why he gave her money and the address through JS.
Leaving the country for work is not a bad thing who knows how he would have built a relationship with his kids but there are many families where the father works in a different country around the world.

He couldn't reach her. He didn't know where she lived and she didn't answer his phone calls. If my sister says something on my behalf I expect the person to believe her. He still did his best DG wasn't at fault in the whole post divorce matter. There's no innocent person in that story/

She looked so satanic in the preview smiling at ES crying face. I think I'll just go with the flow this week. I don't like any of what's going on.
SW, SJ, ES should all by now know the truth. The more they hide it the worst it is.

I like her with ES and SW she seemed emotionally mature then. Her writer's block felt real and not just immaturity but I guess they just want it painted like that.

You're right. I am disappointed EA didn't ask CY to clarify. I would want to know the smallest details about wth is going on.

I'm imagining HY fuming over what she could have had with EH -- I love this direction haha

Wait I thought Directors were in house but writers were freelancers choosen based on the script?
Do channels keep in house writers too? Is that every weekend/daily drama has the same family tree lol.
