Technically, we're not even sure if the jin ancestor was actually the jin ancestor, it was during the peak of soul switching chaos so maybe even the jin ancestor housed another soul within her in that battle 200 years ago. Tbh tf was the man doing writing a love letter to a blind person anyway. How was she going to read it had he sent it? Unless there was a Naksu in her soul and she was also just pretending to be blind? That would also explain why MD facilitated the soul switching with Naksu in the 1st ep. Plus, if she has the power to stop Uk's soul from switching, what's stopping her from removing Naksu's soul from her body? Maybe the fact that she knows this is meant to be? I'm sure MD knows the most out of all the mains out there

I see a lot of people complaining about Yul too. I don't see any double standards here, people are finding the FL's harem annoying too. Nobody wants a love pentagon when there are so many mysteries waiting to be unraveled. CP is probably the only exception but tbh most would agree that their scenes are the most refreshing.

They've not been giving major plots to anybody apart from the main 2 but i wouldn't mind this arc. Until now i feel like every character's arc has ben revolving around Uk or MD but they can do so much more with 30 episodes

I think people are not disliking the new girl because of her crush, i think people are disliking her addition because of the misunderstanding-trope for which she has been used as an inadvertent tool. All the oldies are shipping them and want them to get married so heaven knows how many scenes will get wasted on this arc. The grandfather already made Uk promise to say yes whenever he asks for a favour and we already know he intends to use the favour to get him to marry his granddaughter. *That* is what is annoying. Not that the new character has a crush on Uk. Tbh I feel bad for the girl because they could do so much more with her character without wasting time on this arc since she is a healer.

I think people are annoyed because it adds nothing to the plot and i feel the same way about Yul's scenes too. These are people, supposedly brilliant, yet their scenes are all about unrequited love. In Naksu's case, there is nothing to give weight to Yul or CP's feelings for her but the new character's feelings have already turned into such a big deal because of her grandfather and Uk's maid. It is annoying because obviously this arc will not end very soon. I don't dislike the character but I dislike the time that will be wasted on her one sided crush. I feel the same way about Yul.

I'll like her if they introduce another love interest for her

I only see 2 possible ways the season 2 casting could go :-
1. GYJ will be a main lead but the 2nd FL. (Like how Yul is a main lead too) In S1, she is a supporting character so this will obviously be a huge upgrade.
2. If GYJ is the 1st FL, JSM will only have a special appearance. I don't think her agency will agree to her being the 2nd FL.

While I understand why they might substitute the actress, even I can't imagine Uk romancing another actress. A part of me is wondering whether there is even supposed to be a romance between Uk and Naksu. They've been hinting at Naksu and Yul's past as well as at Uk and elder Jin daughter's destiny. I'm wondering if S2 will have the same actor couplings but different character couplings.

My 2 cents about the latest news:-

1. Initially I thought they would never substitute JSM with a relatively lesser known actress for s2 but I just read that a rookie actress was supposed to play this role initially and JSM was a last minute addition. The story was written before the casting so obviously they were not planning to count on the actress' star power anyway.
2. I believe s2 is supposed to show Naksu actually fighting. GYJ has obviously been training for such scenes and seems to have a relatively more athletic body. Maybe that's another reason why they want to bring her back.

I freaked out when i read the spoilers but realised it is not that bad once I watched the subbed version. It looked like a happy ending to me. Gu decided to try giving up alcohol and trudge forward collecting happy moments WITH MJ. The bag of money, according to me, indicated that he is leaving behind his current (club) life just like he did in the initial episodes of the drama but in a much more positive manner because this time he'll be with her.

But not in a married with kids happily ever after way, but still good enough for me

They are definitely together in the end
