Same. Not because they were that good of a villain, but rather the story build-up wasn't enough to justify their sudden villain arc

This was my exact reaction LOL. I cannot believe a rich spoiled naive woman who had no fighting experiences whatsoever had the ability to STAB and *KILL* CZ's maid with a mere DAGGER. It was absurd.

The long wait was worth it for the main couple (honorable mention: the second cp and all the friendship bonds present) but the plot towards the end was not it.

Nevertheless if we set aside all these things, it was fun being a part of this viewing journey

At first, i just found CZ just an annoying person, but toward the end he became hateful and shameful..
I liked CZ at first actually, I understood his affection for He Yan. But the person he became in the end was just not it. I don't think it was this bad in the novel.

Yes, I love that they have mutual understanding. Athough ML often worries that her decisions are highly influenced by the so-called "script," he still respects her and her choices. Additionally, he continues to take care of her even though he himself is facing tons of challenges. Vice-versa with the FL, she says she don't like ML yet does everything she can to defend and protect him. 😂
