I loved Mi Young's mom in Missing You, she was awesome! I haven't see a lot of Jang Hyuk but I'm defs going to look into more of his dramas! Aw thanks ^^ I just didn't want to spoil details of how they were getting along. If that's even a spoiler, I guess you're right lol. Me too! Sometimes I have to be careful scrolling down & looking at comments :(

Has anyone else noticed that Gun and Mi Young's mom are just wonderful together? From the start of their meeting up to episode 8, I really feel like they have such a genuine mother-son relationship. From the scene when she told him to think of him as his mom, his freaking face was priceless and so innocent, and then his worry over her at the hospital. Just an observation, I think they're really cute and hilarious together. Good acting chemistry!

I'm so proud of Gun! Not only was he honest about his feelings for Mi Young, he didn't evade telling Se Ra about Mi Young being his wife/having his child, and thank goodness. I'm worried about Se Ra though... I hope she doesn't scheme and back Mi Young into an emotional corner in the next few episodes. The end was just such a beautiful thing though, and I'm still smiling like an idiot. BUT THERE'S NO PREVIEW!! AHHH! I can't wait for next week's episodes!

Okay, I think Gun is finally opening Pandora's Box... omo, I just hope Se Ra doesn't show up unexpectedly and he gets a chance to talk to her in New York before she comes back to Seoul. And the scene where Secretary Tak freezes in place haha priceless.

I was thinking the same way. I don't mind Gun's personality, at this point I'm expecting he's going to come to a crossroads for his developing feelings towards Mi Young, and the 6 year relationship/feelings (almost proposal) he had towards Se Ra. I just hope Se Ra doesn't turn out to be cruel because I actually don't think there's any reason to hate her. Poor girl doesn't even know what's going on. Overall, if there's any room for character development, I hope Mi Young gets the best of it and grows a backbone so that Gun doesn't be "mean" to her to let her go or to push her away because he feels like he owes Se Ra the life she's expecting. I'm pretty excited to see how it'll unfold.

I was secretly waiting for Cha Seung Won to break out into a Do Ko Jin laugh after being away from dramas for a few years. I sensed the laugh a few times and was very happy lol. Overall, a very charming return to the drama screen Seung-Won :) Loved this drama from start to finish!

I'm enjoying this drama's pace! I think for a 20 episode remake of an original 24 episode Taiwanese drama, the writers are doing really well keeping the storyline relevant and on track. One thing I like particularly about this drama is how genuine the characters are. I actually don't dislike any of them; they all have their reasons for doing what they've done so far. The comedy is a deciding factor for me in any romcom, and I think this is doing it well. I have burst out in laughter for certain scenes, one's I won't spoil. So far, I must say, this is a much watch! I anticipate this being a really great series if they maintain a balance between the seriousness of the situation and lightheartedness that it has potential to bring on screen. Since I sense more trouble in the drama forecast (for those keeping up with the series) I really hope the series remains fresh since I do think so far so good, I'm impressed.
On The Heirs Jul 13, 2014
Title The Heirs
The most overrated drama of 2013. I Can Hear Your Voice was infinitely better in cast, story, and originality: I still have plenty of feels for I Can Hear Your Voice that I'm able to get rid of the bad after taste of this drama that never really got beyond the budding romance between the "rich boy meets poor girl" scenario and those that try and tear them a part. And that's it. The characters that were actually interesting were a side dish to the story: and that really bothered me because I really loved the secondary characters in this program. They should have gotten more of their stories heard. The Heirs was just mediocre and relied on their pretty girl/pretty boy cast to make up for the train wreck called let's just shove as many cliche's as we can about K-Drama's and spew it on screen (such as slapping someone when they "insult you" YOU KNOW WHO'S GUILTY IN THIS DRAMA if you've seen it). In addition, I am getting so tired of male leads demanding the attention of the female lead in such ridiculous, pushy ways. Like, doesn't grabbing wrists and arms leave bruises? That's not cute, it's assault. The lead couple in Heirs just wasn't...special, and I personally didn't think they had good on-screen chemistry like so many drama couples I've seen (like in Secret Garden or The Greatest Love). They were cute and somewhat convincing, but unlike in the Thai remake of Full House with Mike and Aom, Heirs was a failure in terms of making me COMPLETELY love their connection in the series. I have so many issues with this drama, and to this day I haven't watched the last episode nor have I updated my list. Just a disappointment. The writers stated beforehand that this wouldn't be anything like the K-Drama depiction of Boys Before Flowers, but what I think they did here is cleverly tweak elements of BBF which for a large part included the wealthy arrogant successors/heirs in a high school setting and the "star crossed" like feeling you get from the leads, alongside the second male lead syndrome which I totally felt in BBF. Overall, to be brutally honest this drama is meant to be at least a 50 episode one, not a 20 episode one since it had such a huge cast with tons of back stories that could have been explored. It could have had so much potential if it didn't reduce its plot and character development in such a limiting, and narrow way, such as the over the top sensationalist focus on the love triangle and back and forth "I don't love you" or "I love you so much but I have to let you go" or the "I only want you to see me" in the entire 20 episodes on this drama. OMG. I just needed to rant, sorry for the length. I couldn't bear writing a full review.
